Not since Reagan in 1980 have we seen someone on our side this bound and determined to win. The media and the establishment hated him, too, and they put up polls until almost the last minute claiming Carter would win handily, and we know what happened. Alas, I wish Reagan had never chosen GHW Bush to be his running mate (he should’ve gone with fellow Nevada Conservative Sen. Paul Laxalt), as the Bushes largely undid everything Reagan did and passed the office off to even more destructive criminals in Bubba and Zero.
Same. Biggest mistake he made, unfortunately. I shudder to think where we’d be right now if Hinckley had succeeded. At least the foundation of Reagan was in place before 41-44 got to work on unraveling everything.
