Checklist of his replacement plan:
* Repeal and replace Obamacare with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

Charity hospitals took care of the poor in America for decades. They were staffed by religious orders with doctors volunteering their time. People from all economic groups donated money to keep them running.

Then there’s another idea that has been tested and should be able to help out in part.
I like the private sector fixes, because private money is spent far more wisely than government funds.
There’s a real vested interest in getting people well and on the road.
A special session could meet with President Elect Trump and begin to draft the legislation necessary. Then President Trump could sign it once inaugurated. I like it a lot!

You raise an important fact about charity hospitals. The doctors and caretakers were able to try innovative tactics and procedures that ultimately paid benefits to the entire health community and its patients.
I trust President Trump in office a whole lot more than I trust Speaker Ryan in the weeks before President Trump takes office. As much as I despise Obamacare, I have no interest in any replacement that is signed before Trump takes the Oath of Office.
It’s (mostly) a great list, but it’s Trump’s list, not Ryan’s. The exception is that I used to like block grants, but not any more. They eventually come with too many strings. I’d rather see the states keep that money and write their own tax laws to fund whatever plan they replace Obamacare with.
I just want the Obamacare REPEAL bill ready for signature and waiting on President Trump’s desk for him to sign immediately after his inauguration. The congress will have to hash out the rest later.
The new Congress starts on Wednesday, January 3, 2017. President Trump will, I pray, take office at noon on Friday, January 20, 2017. I want the repeal bill sent to our President on Monday, January 23, 2017, which is as early as is possible without any risk that Barack Hussein will in some way mess with the bill. I’ve been in DC professionally during the weeks between the new Congress swearing in and the Inaugural, and that is the earliest (and safest) date imaginable.
I can live with Monday.

I worked in a hospital for many years. I do know that our staff tried to do the best it could for it’s patients.
All health care facilities are innovative in some ways. In others they may be somewhat antiquated.
No hospital is perfect, and over all, not very many are super sub-par.
I just know the nature of the beast, and when you’re operating on someone else’s dollar, it easy to become more complacent with expenditures.
Patients need to be incentivized also. For instance, a plan that pays out a small amount to the insured each year they don’t use services is a great way to expend a little money to save a lot.
Healthy lifestyles can also be something that is rewarded each year, as people save the insurance company because they require less medical care.
