So sorry to hear about Jeff —I’ve always so enjoyed his postings and his books. Always would read posts and threads started by him. Cancer is so insidious —I just hate it! My prayers for him and his family —that they will find peace as they go through this “transition process” —and that our Savior will welcome him Home with open arms......

I am very sorry to hear this. I ran across Jeff Head on the internet before I had even heard of Free Republic. I was reading from his voluminous archives on his website and I emailed him to tell him about some links that didn’t work. Like the true gentleman he is he emailed back and thanked me for pointing them out.

You are a real patriot who has done yeoman’s work for all of us.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Jeff but I first heard of him way back when during that Klamath Basin water issue. I went to a rally just outside of Tracy, CA. and voiced my support for the water stricken folks of the basin.

Again, never met Jeff but he was very influential in that battle.

He struck me as being a very good person and from what I read her from other folks, he was/is.

Thanks to you, dear Squantos, for your kind opus on Jeff’s condition. I certainly offer prayers for Jeff’s comfort and peace as he is beloved and highly regarded by all of us, as our delightful Christian brother.

Though I have no benefits to offer, what a wonderful idea it is to share those use-it-or-lose-it benefits of those who can. I never heard of that idea. That’s so nice.

Sad news. Jeff has been a fixture since nearly the beginning. He will be sorely missed.

I have always thought of Jeff Head in the highest way.

I will never forget his fight for Klamath Falls water, or the way he fought back when they tried to change the 911 statue to be pc.

In December 2001, the New York City Fire Department unveiled plans for a statue based on the photograph to be placed at the Brooklyn headquarters.
In an effort to be inclusive of all those who had been affected by the tragedy, the statue was to include black, white, and Hispanic firefighters.
The change in ethnicity from the actual firefighters, all of whom are white, proved controversial enough that the statue was never built.
