The Smell Test for a Rigged Election
American Thinker ^ | November 8, 2016 | Marcus Ahn

In a normal election year, questions about rigging the vote would be dismissed as a matter of tinfoil hat and conspiracy mongering. But this, of course, is not a normal election, and per a recent Reuters report, nearly 70% of Republicans believe a Clinton victory would be because of illegal voting or vote rigging. So, will the vote be “rigged” in favor of Secretary Clinton? Is there even a way to assess the prospect of foul play?

Yes, there is. While certainly not foolproof, a decent proxy of whether or not the vote is indeed rigged will be Trump’s relative performance in Michigan vs. Pennsylvania and New Hampshire vs. North Carolina. To understand why, it’s important to first review some background information.

Scalability

Integral to claims of vote rigging are electronic voting systems, or Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) Systems. Some swing states like Pennsylvania and swaths of North Carolina have these DRE systems, while other states like Michigan and New Hampshire have traditional paper ballots. Rigging the vote in a state with paper ballots would be difficult given the physical medium -- that isn’t to say that chicanery can’t take place, but it’s a lot harder. With a DRE system, especially in states like Pennsylvania where there is no paper trail or physical record of the votes cast, the prospect of tampering is far more viable and, more importantly, scalable. With a paper ballot, a corrupt official could stuff a few extra ballots, but with a DRE system, a motivated or well-informed hacker could stuff a few hundred thousand.

I saw more darker “other” types at my place as well here in NJ; imported takers are showing up (this is probably why Trump didn’t bother campaigning here - Americans have been abandoning NJ for years).

When your side loses.

After a "recount".

Normally I’d agree with the facetious nature of that comment... however, this year, with a lot of the rigging already known and public, I’d say the smell test for this election to see if it’s rigged is “did Clinton win?”

Especially when they can’t spell “glimps” correctly.

If any precinct has more voters than registered voters that is usually a clue!

Especially if they vote 100% for one candidate

With all the talk from the media/Dems about hackers disrupting the election, if Trump wins big...the Dems will claim the totals were hacked. JMO...we shall see.

Amazingly enough the indication of a rigged election for the Clinton camp is going to be if Trump wins. Because you know they're going to claim collusion between Comey and the winning side.

What the Clintonites might complain about is immaterial because their M.O. is to tell whatever lie is to their advantage at any given moment. So even if they genuinely believe that the system was rigged in favor of Trump, there’s no way for any other person to distinguish that from just another premeditated and cynical lie.

"Until there is the death penalty and quick public enforcement there will be fraud."

Or, until Republicans get as good at it as the Democrats have been.

Then, and only then, will it come to a screeching halt.

When your sides amassed thousands of bits of evidence that the other side is stacking the deck, when your side sees hundreds of inter city poll locations across the cournty magically turn out 125% of registered voters that vote 100% for the D canidates.

Fraud is real. It is a problem. Burying your head in the sand because that is easier then thinking about a problem is a cowards response at best.

Making a lie to avoid acknowledging your team lost compared to the other team having mounds of documented evidence of Democrat voter fraud is intellectually absurd, infantile response.

But that won't stop them, will it? Face it, regardless of who wins about half the country is not going to accept the outcome as valid. There will be no "bring the country together" this time.

A friend posted on Facebook that they received a robocall last night that they hadn’t voted (Georgia), even though they did early voting. They wanted to check it out, and when he got to the precinct this morning, there was no record of their voting previously. Yikes!

So far 3 people I know had it happen in my community of Sandy Springs Georgia. I went to my precinct and my previous vote was recorded. I hope these friends are registering a fraud complaint.
