Most independents go with the Challenger... that would be trump
My family (4 adults) just got back from voting in Adams County, Colorado.
There were no lines, but the room was quite filled. It was all paper ballots. IDs required.
Felt good. I just hope nobody monkeys around with those ballots. Which is the reason I wanted to vote on election day instead of early voting.
Weird, though. When I went into that polling area during early voting a week ago to ask them a question, there were voting machines being used. But today it was all paper ballots. No voting machines at all.
Sounding good for Trump.
Although some have indicated the unaffiliated voters in CO are a bit of a different breed. Regardless, we don't know how much crossover voting (DEM->Trump, GOP->Hillary) occurred so far.
Good news!
Paper ballots here in MD as well. We thought that was weird. I am wondering if there was a hacking concern so precincts went to paper. I hadn’t heard that was going to happen.
Anyone else run into paper when expecting electronic?
That didn’t happen in Colorado in 2012, not even close; indies went hard left (compare the early voting to the final numbers).
2016 will probably be a little better in that regard but probably not good enough unless we get a big surprise.
Why couldn’t the media just lie or twist the numbers around if the exit polls showed some advantages for Trump? Why stop now when they have been doing that the entire campaign?
Weed was on the ballot in 2012.
So by party Trump has it! Fantastic! Colorado Native here.
Far-left Vox is making up their own exit polling and releasing during the day in order to demoralize Republicans who work for a living and have not yet voted.
Their polls showed, of course, Hitlery winning every key state except PA and that was only because not enough data had been fabricated in PA, I mean received from PA, yet.
Why wouldn’t the majority of Independents vote for TRUMP when every polling has TRUMP winning the majority?
Thank you for pointing that out. Mittens had a similar lead, but got beaten handidly on election day. I understand a big chunk of the vote has already been cast there already in CO.
Romney took the last week off while Obama was handling a Hurricane Sandy with Christy
Thanks for the post, Red Steel.
The other things to consider are that Hillary is not nearly as personally popular as Obama was in 2008 or 2012 and that probably more than enough Republicans in Colorado (and elsewhere) stayed home both those years.
Trump. The hardest working man in America.
Magellan put out a nemo on unaffiliated voters in CO. You should look it up. Very educational. Basic gist is that unaffiliateds this year composed of more older males this year vs. Younger females in 2012. No race breakdown in CO.
