Eisenhower, Ford
Eisenhower had Nixon as VP, and Ford was appointed to replace Nixon’s original VP Spiro Agnew, strictly speaking he was not elected by the people, probably the original “selected, not elected” ;) He just finished out the remainder of Nixon’s 2nd term and was probably happy that Carter won in ‘76!
