The Dems will block, through filibuster, any and all attempts to get rid of Obamacare. However, could the Republicans use a Continuing resolution to defund it, since that is the way that it was passed originally? Also, could the Republicans gain a veto-proof majority after the 2018 elections, since so many Dem senator seats will be up in that election?

They can use reconciliation to defund it. That would only require a simple majority.

Also, could the Republicans gain a veto-proof majority after the 2018 elections, since so many Dem senator seats will be up in that election?

It's always possible but not very likely.
