Hundreds of Americans, dozens of organizations to gather peacefully outside the White House and in cities and towns nationwide to take a continued stand against misogyny, racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia.
Tonight, thousands of Americans will come together at hundreds of peaceful gatherings in cities and towns across the nation, including outside the White House, following the results of Tuesday’s presidential election.
The gatherings – organized by MoveOn.org and allies – will affirm a continued rejection of Donald Trump’s bigotry, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and misogyny and demonstrate our resolve to fight together for the America we still believe is possible.
Within two hours of the call-to-action, MoveOn members had created more than 200 gatherings nationwide, with the number continuing to grow on Wednesday afternoon.

My daughter was streaming a protest from neighboring Seattle this evening. The idgits were chanting the usual insipid “black lives matter!” when a competing group started in with LGBTPSQR lives matter!” and almost immediately some others piped in with “immigrant lives matters!”.
For a moment it sounded like they were going to pounce on one another so wee who could be the most offended group of professional victims!

The best was the CNN reporter who put a mike in front of a Latino at the NY protest...turned out the Latino voted for Trump! The young man turned around to the crowd and said “these idiots don’t know what they want”

I observed one such protest today. These people are now past the denial stage and into anger.
There were no giant puppets and the signs were all handmade. Obviously it did not occur to them to prepare for Trump’s victory.
Sample signs: “Trump Does Not Represent Me!” (no duh.) “Pu$$y grabs back!” (ewwww!)
There were also chants. “Trans lives matter!!!” I haven’t heard that one before. They also made noises about abolishing the electoral college.
Maybe Trump will outgame them somehow — like he always does.
I suggest he does his inaugural speech VIA TWITTER. It would be another first. He could say that the cost of the Inauguration is too much for taxpayers. Why do WE need to pay for all the police and trash cleanup just to provide a venue for spoiled Left Wing Whiners when we now have TELEVISION & Internet?
After all, isn’t the outdoor freezing Jan 20th inaugural speech tradition a bit outdated?
That would be his way of saying F U to the demonstrators.
He should also refuse to be given the oath of office by Chief Injustice Roberts. Justice Thomas would be more appropriate.
These BS riots and marches are just helping Trump, proving to people that they made the right choice.
When you hear these people interviewed on TV, it becomes immediately clear — these people are morons. They don’t know anything about how our political system works. They just know they didn’t get what they wanted, and can’t believe it.
If they want to protest peacefully, go ahead. But as soon as they start blocking traffic or anything that breaks the law, send in the police and arrest anyone breakng the law.
If they attack the police, beat them with your batons.
Soros is funding malicious anarchy. Not free speech, but specifically malicious anarchy. I’m no lawyer, but certain there are laws against such societally disruptive activities.
The anarchists themselves should be incarcerated for trespassing, or at least for disorderly conduct in public, congregating, and disrupting society without license/permit. Whatever law one can use effectively to get them off the streets. Released only upon payment of reasonable, but severe fines, and not released en masse, but individually to prevent their caucus.

They are walking down the middle of streets all over the place and blocking traffic. I saw one in Seattle, and they were walking right down a freeway, with poor drivers stuck on the street with people walking all around them. If they keep letting these people get away with this, it is only going to get worse.
