If you want your viewers back:

1. Fire Kapernick; pay him off; make him walk.

2. Treat your business like a business. The NFL players are your employees who have to perform. Employers can't have employees who disrespect the rules they set in place to perfor on their jobs. One of the conditions / policies is that players are not to exhibit disrespect (whatever attorney term that will work legally will fit; it's all open to interpretation by the courts if challenged anyway) to their coaches, team members, nation, etc...I know it's a fine line here but establish it as policy within the scope of employment and it might work.

3. Establish penalty guidelines if violated.

4. Let the public know about the new policy using a PR team with jet flyover commercials and...

You're back in business and we don't have to worry about the Eastern invasion changing America's number 2 sport to soccer instead of football. You get to keep your jobs and make good money. The alternative is to stop paying so much money to useless players or quit your job. Your choice.

5, All of the above, and yes, cut the commercials, particularly on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights when the NFL thinks that the lack of sports competition gives them a license to run four minutes of commercials at every change of possession.

6. Get rid of the pink uniforms. Football is still primarily a man’s game. We all have wive’s mother’s, daughters, and friends who have suffered and died from breast cancer, but we don’t need it shoved down our throats every game.

7. Get rid of the Marxist salary cap because it creates a system of revolving doors that discourages fan loyalty.

8. Get rid of Roger Goodell.

Great post! The NFL has replaced your sage business model with an ideological mindset that neither respects nor supports the clientele that brought then from sandlots to stadiums. Sigh, the days of the “Circus Maximus” are coming to a close, yet the NFL is clueless as to how quickly their coliseums will collapse. It was a nice distraction, while it lasted.
