Donald Trump is already eyeing ways for the U.S. to pull out of the landmark Paris climate agreement that the Obama administration formally signed on to in September, according to Reuters.
A source on Trump’s transition team told Reuters that the president-elect wants to bypass the stipulation in the agreement that calls for a four-year process for a country to exit the accord.
"It was reckless for the Paris agreement to enter into force before the election," the source said.

Since it was never ratified by the Senate it’s just a worthless piece of paper. Notify them immediately when Trump takes office that the U.S. is withdrawing, and ignore it for the next four years.

This should be an easy one. Send it to the Senate as a treaty for ratification (which is what should have been done in the first place). If 2/3 don’t vote to approve, it is dead.

I do not believe that Obama stooped so low as to ask for Congressional approval.
So your recommendation looks spot on and practical to me. I hope it is that easy.
OTOH, it may not be. So I hope we can have some discussion on the subject in this thread since there are indications that it may not be as easy as you and I would like.
