[Mountain View, CA] South Bay Teacher Put On Paid Leave After Comparing Trump To Hitler

MOUNTAIN VIEW (KPIX 5) — A Mountain View high school teacher was kicked out of his classroom and is now getting threats for comparing President-elect Donald Trump to Hitler.

Frank Novarro doesn’t know when he’ll be in front of the classroom again after a history lesson he believes was misunderstood.

While some are accusing the history teacher of calling Trump a racist by drawing the comparison, he says that didn’t happen.

“Because I think that it is historically factual,” says Novarro.

He routinely supressed opposing opinions using his Sturmabteilung storm troopers. He’d been doing this for years before 1933.

No, not really. For one thing, Hitler wasn’t voted into office, he was selected by someone who DID know those things, but thought he’d be controllable. Hindenburg picked him.

I don’t think Trump is a nice guy, and I’m a bit worried that he might actually be a bad guy. I know for a fact that Hillary is a bad guy. And he was a friend of theirs, or at least friendly to them.

No, not really. Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get me. I hope you’re right about Trump. I voted for him because I KNEW Hillary could easily go a few worse than Hitler. But I don’t KNOW Trump will be better, I just hope so. If he’s no worse than Bush, I’ll consider it good. But it’s going to take some time to tell one way or another. I’d really prefer to be wrong. One of these days, we’ll both know.

Your comment wasn’t about if Trump was a nice guy, but nice try moron. Your comment was that the teacher who compared Trump to Hitler was a good comparison if true.

Fascism is a socialist construct for a model of governing. Therefore, and this maybe hard for your liberal mind to grasp Trump cannot be compared to a fascist or to Hitler a man who murdered 6 million Jews. Unless you can point out where Trump hid the bodies. You are a troll....go back to DU.

You’re still attacking the messenger. The specific comparisons are valid, as far as they go. Trump did say certain things similar to things Hitler said. I did not say Trump has actually done those things. Not yet, anyway. Will he actually try to do those things, as indiscriminately as Hitler did? I don’t know and neither do you. Not yet. I sure hope not. You’d better hope not, too.

I spent nearly a sixth of my 24-year military career in the Middle East. I’ve known quite a few Muslims. Most are decent people, whom I’d welcome as immigrants. There are, unfortunately, a substantial minority of Muslims who are exactly the kind of folks we don’t want, don’t need, and who are in fact the enemies of our way of life. Instead of inviting them in as the current administration seems bent on doing, we do need to keep them out, or kill them when they get out of line. Personally, I’d prefer we do the killing part while they’re still IN THE MIDDLE EAST! So we need to have ways of vetting the folks who apply to come here. A blanket refusal to allow anyone who is Muslim is in fact a violation of the principles of this country. Not that it hasn’t been suggested and even done before.

Benjamin Franklin wanted to exclude Germans. The folks who wanted to exclude the English did a particularly poor job of it, for that matter. Look what happened to them!
