A strong majority of Americans accept Donald Trump as the winner of the presidential election last week, but a significant minority of Hillary Clinton supporters say his victory was illegitimate, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. The survey was conducted immediately after Election Day as anti-Trump protests sprang up across major cities, at the end of an acidic campaign in which Trump himself said he may not accept election results if Clinton prevailed.

Headline should say "58% of Clinton supporters accept Trump victory" . But that wouldn't be divisive.

Stealing from the Instapundit:
“I was told if I voted for Trump a large percentage of the electorate would not accept the results and they were right.”

“Not legitimate” meaning “the Electoral College must go” or meaning “Trump imported millions of Swedes to vote illegally”?

33% of Hillary Clinton voters don’t accept Trump’s win as legitimate.

Turns out the snowflakes are a minority - a radical minority on the Left.

They’re out of step with America.

Wonder if that poll would be different today, now that it’s been determined Trump won the popular vote, too.

Die Hard Democrats are dumb. The main reason Hillary got the support she did was because some people can only accept Democrats in office.

This is going to continue for 4 years. This is how the left is going to undermine Trump’s presidency. IMO rather than holding out olive branches, he should just take a hard line from the get go because he is not going to find any movement toward a true consensus presidency. No amount of cajoling will placate this rabble. Why waste time, just stomp them out.

He can begin on Jan 21st by having all the available aircraft, boats, trains and mopeds set to run south and get rid of as many illegals as possible. They can sue from the other side of the wall.

One sentence suffices: We won.

These are the people who think Trump is going to shoot them down in the streets, send press gangs into the neighborhoods and mass deport them. Too bad they won’t get their fears realized.

There are sharp racial and gender differences in Clinton supporters’ acceptance of the results. Only 18 percent of whites who supported Clinton say Trump is not the legitimate winner..., but fully 51 percent of black, Hispanic and other nonwhite Clinton supporters say Trump’s victory was illegitimate.

Maybe the title of the article should be: “Uneducated, and Low Information black and brown people say Trump’s win not legitimate:

Let’s stop with the surveys for while, huh? They’re not close to correct, and we know the pollsters determination of the sample make up is the determinant of what they’re going to say, regardless of true public sentiment.
