Do you know John Bolton personally? I do. I met him when he was a sophomore at Yale and knew him through his graduation from Yale Law. He was and, no doubt, is a man of extraordinary character and focus. His outstanding credentials and background and experience make him a very appealing possibility in any genuinely CONSERVATIVE administration.

Neo-ISOLATIONISM is an intellectual and moral embarrassment and not a viable policy. We have only so many World Trade Centers to give to our Islamofascist enemies. I refuse to be influenced by Bircher Old Right twaddle that has a love that dare not speak its name for cowards like Neville Chamberlain and wants to have conservatives settle down around the old camp fire with our enemies lulling ourselves to our civilizational death crooning Kumbaya.

CONSERVATISM is not Ron PaleoPaulie (put him in a straitjacket at Happy Acres). It is not cut and run cowardice. It is not indifference. It is not a continuation of the unilateral disarmament so far advanced under Comrade Imam Obozo nor a sissified military whose manly and patriotic leadership has been purged by Obozo and in which the mention of God is forbidden but "alternative lifestyles" are the sure-fire route to promotion.

We are (or ought to be) a great big country now ready to prove ourselves worthy successors of The Greatest Generation. The only thing that the paleopipsqueaks get right is that we need not waste resources and the lives of our young men on "nation-building" or occupation or similar misadventures and tragedies. Nor need military bases in about 100 countries or treaty commitments to go to war at the drop of a hat to defend East Nowheristan when it is attacked by West Nowheristan.

When some nation or random group of towelheads has given us adequate cause for war, let it be our policy to deal death from the sky and absolutely minimize American casualties. Upon sufficient provocation, we can use Ohio class submarines. Lesser provocations? Bomb them back to the Stone Age. Make them busy for a couple of centuries trying to figure out how to grow vegetables again (those who have not been rendered vegetables). What would Curtis LeMay do? Exact from the offenders every last nickel of the cost of their punishment. No occupations. Rinse and repeat as necessary with increasing levels of intensity. Cut loose the UN and its everlasting majority of anti-Americans and stop funding it altogether.

Unilateral interventionism on OUR terms as WE see fit and without any need for permission from anyone. Nations who are in fact our allies like Poland and Hungary and Israel can come along for the ride. Others may join under our leadership when they regain their manhood. Make America Great Again. Stop its current status as a brainless sorority sob sister. Let the leftist heathens and their paleo buddies rage as America stands tall again.

Pat Buchanan ruined himself by becoming an American equivalent of Neville Chamberlain. CONSERVATIVES ought not to emulate his brainless blunder. Buchanan was NEVER a movement conservative just an articulate writer brought on board by Tricky Dick. When Pat lost his foreign policy backbone, he lost me and most of the 1960s and 1970s New Right to which he had never belonged.

If the paleos should, God forbid!, prevail, perhaps they can retire the Bald Eagle as our national symbol and replace him with the ostrich since their foreign policy is to stick their empty heads in the sand with their rumps in the air as targets until the baaaaaaaad men just go awaaaaaay!

I used to live in Connecticut and now live in verrrrry rural NW Illinois. I have visited inside the beltway about ten times in my life none more recent than 1980.

Trump can easily drain the swamp by purging and ignoring the Establishment hacks, the NWO schemers (the actual globalists) and the paleotimid crowd and their knee jerk peace creep pals and Make America Great Again including a great and aggressive foreign policy. Rudy Giuliani might make a great Attorney General or Secretary of Homeland Security (until that department is abolished). John Bolton is the single most qualified person to be able to serve as Secretary of State in my lifetime. We ought not miss the chance.

Perhaps it does. Since Giuliani is on record supporting the prosecution of Clinton, then Giuliani has injured his ability to prosecute her without prejudice.

This might suggest that Trump is going to allow the FBI to go forward with investigating Clinton with an AG who has not yet been part of the discussion so as to have no record of having called publically for Clinton’s prosecution.

See this prior thread, especially my posts on it. Post #161 and the links there pretty much make my point:

Bolton exposed himself as a neo-con globalist hack when he began running around calling for the Clinton administration to put the U.S. military to work on behalf the radical Islamic separatists in Kosovo.

If you know Bolton so well, perhaps you can tell us who has been paying his salary for the last ten years.

Your points about isolationism have nothing to do with this discussion. I voted for Donald Trump and provided him financial support (the first time I've ever donated to a political candidate in my life) because I don't trust any of these people who have been working as Beltway insiders for years -- for decades, in Bolton's case.

I'm really tired of these @ssholes who reflexively send someone else to fight these stupid wars all over the globe.

Makes no sense, SoS needs to have someone as corrupt as the last two PoS, er I mean SoS...

I hope I don't need a '/s' tag...

That’s exactly my point. There are a number of options to end-run Putin.

The whole thing is flat out appalling.

One practicality (I’m in partial agreement with you):

“Taking their oil” requires occupation over a considerable period of time.

Bolton endorsed all neocon candidates early in the race. From Congressmen to senators, to presidential candidates, there was a list floating around somewhere. None were outsiders. None were Tea Party types. It was late getting on the Trump Train. He worked for GW Bush. Bolton is not to be trusted.

I don’t think Rudy wants to be AG. Kinda done that.
Give it to David Clark or Joe Arapaio.

What would really tickle me is if Trump would give the Press Secretary position to. Corey Lewandowski.

Communism means the same thing it’s always meant. Phonetically, the word gives the ideology what it deserves, because it sounds at the same time dim-witted and nasty. Maybe this is one of the reasons the communists tried to kill the word.

I was very pleased when Trump use the word communism during the campaign. It shows he’s never been susceptible to communistic propaganda.

I’m a bit “WTF?” too.

You know who’d I like for either SOS or UN Sec.? Jon Voight.

Interesting that neither The Don or Rudy would ever be mistaken for a hardcore Conservative - they are NOT. Neither one of them are looking to turn the calendar back to 1950, nor have they ever pretended to say so.

The hatred really boils down to the fact that “The Left” only care about power and nothing else. I know - Capt. Obvious. But the disdain they have for anyone that doesn’t agree 1000000000000000% with them is worth watching. They are a truly evil Borg-type of thing.

I’ve been calling for Einsatzgruppen against enemies for years now. Do any of you doubt they’d do it to us if they could? They’d do it in a (no pun intended) New York Minute.

Kris Kobach AG of Arizona. Rising conservative star! That would be a nice “trigger”.

AG of Arizona
***************
I think I have that part wrong. I do seem to remember his involvement in the Feds suit vs. Arizona regarding the state’s passing of immigration law...

Still remember being impressed nonetheless.
