No, messing with electors should be illegal, period. I am all for banning conservatives from doing this too, it’s a government process and these folks are being threatened physically, by death, the death of their kids and so on. I have read the reports, this is vicious and messing with electors should be illegal.
I'm not sure that this type of activity falls under the "Free Speech" category. From what I am reading, these people are harassing the Electors at home, on line; everywhere. To me this crosses the line from 1st Amendment speech to stalking and intimidation. The way things are going (riots, violence against Trump supporters, calls for assassination of the President Elect and the rape of his wife, etc) , if I was one of the Electors, I would seriously fear for my, and my family's well being should I vote for Trump when the time comes.
In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and publicly say, here and now, that at least one Elector, or more, will be physically attacked, if not killed, after the Electoral College meets.
Is harassing and threatening witnesses and jurors now also free speech? They’re interfering with a federal process, using threats, harassment, intimidation. If it isn’t illegal yet, it should be by yesterday.
Lobbying or advice is one thing. Open harassment is quite another.

Harassment has never been protected speech. You may be an ITG (Internet Tough Guy) but a lot of the people who have volunteered to serve as electors are not. They deserve to right to go about their lives unmolested by dhimmocrat criminals.

I don’t know where you’re getting that from.
Electors should enjoy the same type of legal privacy that grand jury members do. Not having that sort of privacy allows the sort of vindictiveness and possibly violence that we may see in this case.
These leftists don’t give half a damn about the law or honor or the Constitution. Theirs is a will to power, and the only reasonable way to counter it is via strong law that is enforced.
The only thing these democrat-thugs are doing is to strengthen the reserve of those electors to stand by their guns. In a third-world country they would be killed in order to scare them into doing the mobs bidding . . . but 0bama did not quite succeed in his goal to transform us into one of those banana republics.

Free speech is one thing, this is harassment. There are legal limits on free speech such as harassment, threats etc.
