I’m addressing ideological conservatism which looks at the question solely from the standpoint of “what we WON’T do.”
However the Donald specifically said make America GREAT again.
Donald isn’t going for faux generosity — which situation is 100% compatible with the facts. The SOCIETY should have room to be generous, which means the GOVERNMENT should take only what it needs, sparingly.
While I can agree that we are somewhat defined by what we won’t do, there are a host of things that Trump is going to do that also define us.
He will:
Build up the military
Get our spending under control
Start paying down the dept
Reduce Taxation
Get our schools under control
Get our border under control
Send back illegal immigrants
Create a job rich environment
Rework our trade agreements and policies
Build a wall on our Southern Border
Define and promote a policy of safe reasoned and controlled immigration
These have been Conservative goals for a long time
Our government was behind the curve for at least half a century on part of this.
