At first blush, Donald Trump’s decision to swear off criminal investigations of Hillary Clinton didn’t look like a good idea.
At second blush, it looks like a terrible idea.
The decision, dribbled out in a TV report and then confirmed by aide Kellyanne Conway, is too momentous to come in bits and pieces and from anyone other than Trump directly. He made the pledge at a debate to appoint a special prosecutor, and it smacks of Washington-as-usual for the reversal to slither out the back door.
Yet instead of the president-elect personally explaining his big decision, the public got snippets of comments he made during an interview with the New York Times.
“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” the paper quoted him as saying. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways.”
Asked whether he had ruled out a prosecution, he reportedly said, “It’s just not something that I feel very strongly about.”

I didn’t see anything that said Hillary was off the hook.
Trump said “I don’t want to” pursue actions against her.
He didn’t say Sessions wouldn’t, the FBI wouldn’t, or that “even though I don’t want to, I’m going to have to.”

Yeah, he should go running around with a noose in his hand screaming bloody retribution. While this would make us feel good, he has to now consider the Hillary supporters and give them some tendies. He’s will be the President of all, not just us Freepers.
Plus Trump specifically said, ‘to the extent’ that he has control of what happens, he doesn’t want to. As all the talking heads said, the President doesn’t control the justice dept. and FBI. So he made the appearance of saying something by saying nothing.

Recall Trump saying, “If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there has never been so many lies, so much deception”

“Retribution” has nothing to with it. Calm yourself.
So Trump is supposed to prosecute Hillary? What are you asking for? The President doesn’t prosecute anyone. The justice department does.

So the new Sheriff in town should do likewise? How does that make things better in the long rung?
To re-establish rule of law means to respect the rule of law.

this was a revolution, peaceful from our side but not from theirs. That administration and the pointy-headed bureaucrats have inflicted pain and anguish upon all Americans and affected future destinies for many in the youngest generation. In France, they chopped off a lot of heads. I’d settle for an hour of prison time for each perp as retribution for each American affected. That would keep them unhappy forever. This new administration had better do right by the American people.

He sent out his video earlier this week and he tweets. I signed up for Twitter solely to receive Trump’s tweets. He is the only person I am following. Trump will keep us informed.
I do not watch the crazy leftist fascist Main stream media. I am regarding anything they report on as not truthful.
