undocumented students studying abroad should return home

Back to their country of origin? I'm cool with that.

Gosh, if they’re “undocumented”, then how does anyone know they’re in the University.

All the colleges I went to required matriculation.

Undocumented Student = No Grade

Been there, seen that

Hmm. The article makes it clear that the warnings to return “home” are actually warnings to illegal aliens who are studying outside of the US to return to the US. They are not telling the students to return home.

The narrative seems to be that illegal aliens are brighter than Americans and that without them, we will become some uneducated backwater.

The reality is that if those illegal aliens are so bright, their home countries need them. “Brain drain” is a real problem for developing countries. They send their best and brightest to study in the US or Europe, and then their best and brightest decide that opportunities are better in the US or Europe and fail to return home. Thus, the developing nations get absolutely no benefit from higher education. Sending them home is the best way to make life better for everyone in their countries.

How are they studying abroad if they are undocumented?
Real countries require real passports.

I think by “return home”, they mean back to the USA. They’re afraid that they won’t be able to get back in past immigration. Most of the undocumented college students are tax eating freeloaders at public universities. Anyone who has the dough to pay five figure tuition has no problem getting into the country on as student visa.

So let me get this straight.

This is a letter to illegal immigrants enrolled in school in the US, but studying abroad.

The school is telling them to return to the US now because it may be more difficult to break the law after Trump gets in office.

Is that correct?

How’d they get into the country abroad?

Definitely NOT back to the US. These colleges should be put on notice to loose federal funding if they give aid and harbor illegal aliens, plus give them better tuition and scholarships than offered to any US citizen.

Wait, I thought “self-deportation” didn’t work?
