Sorry Meyer but I must adamantly disagree with you. The bastard KNEW what he was doing and wrongfully endangered and ultimately caused the deaths of those children and the injury to numerous others. He MUST BE held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. NO EXCUSES!

Dave, I’m not saying that he isn’t responsible, nor should he not be held accountable. What I’m saying is that he burned the candle at both ends. He took on too much. It seems that he didn’t give a fat rat’s backside about the kids on teh bus either, based on the complaints that were lodged against him.
He should not have been a school bus driver in the first place, and probably wouldn’t have been if he were a 24 year old white male.
The school system had better have pushed those complaints to the contracting company that ran this particular bus or they’re on the hook too.
Hamilton County school bus services used to be provided by a large number of small, individual contractors but those numbers have dwindled over the last few years after the school decided to give the bulk of their business to the large contractor that owns/operates this particular bus. i think that the quality of service might have taken a hit as a result.
Imagine the picture of him they would use if he had been shot and killed by a white person, especially a cop.
They would probably find some sweet, innocent looking 12 year old like People Magazine did with Trayvon, instead of the 6’-1” thug he was.
This heartbreaking and infuriating - why could they not suspend him while investigating? I’m guessing they were working through their bureaucratic steps one by one so as not to be accused of racism or an unjust termination. Tragic.
Law enforcement stated that they had interviewed all the people involved and could find no confirmation/source for the statement, so likely rumor.

Article left out he’d only had CDL for 6 months, was off designated route, speeding, that 1 mom with 3 on the bus had been fussing at the school since Aug to get him removed. Students reported to parents of his cussing, drinking, and speeding. Local drug screen came back negative, but is being sent off to a out of state lab for further analyzing for other drugs, besides street drugs. His booking photo shows glassy eyes. He’d already had 1 slight fender bender OTJ. And before he got his CDL had a revoked DL.
NO SEAT BELTS except his, he hasn’t a scratch on him.
Warrants should not be needed for the black box or camera vids.

See the lower post, yes, UK papers reported that a couple of days ago. They had more info than our LSM puts out.
This is the second TN school bus accident in the last 6 months, the Memphis one was teens, and no deaths, minor injuries. Going around a curve to fast and crashed. What the H is a school bus doing on an Interstate ramp?

Yes, not often used, we have men on DR going on 21 yrs who have ran out all state and fed appeals our RINO gov won’t sign the Death Warrant, says the head of Dept of Corrections has to. DUH he appoints both the parole and corrections heads.
A friend has the rapist/killer of her 8 year old daughter on DR going on 21 yrs, all appeals done, and halsam won’t sign the Death Warrant. Crime was in 1990, 2 trials by jury, both agreed on the DP. All appeals upheld it.
Texas has the death penalty and uses it, but maybe not enough. We have a friend who’s daughter was murdered by her husband. He poured Drano down her throat and has been in jail for years. Every time he comes up for parole, we write a letter to the Parole Board telling them to not let him out.
I saw a story here on FR a few day ago where the police stated that they could not nail down the source for the “ready to die” utterance, and are asking for witnesses to come forward with what they know. At the time of the story, it was an UNCONFIRMED report.
