An Ohio State University student plowed a car into a campus crowd, then jumped out and started stabbing people with a butcher knife before being shot dead by police Monday morning, officials said.
Ten people were taken to hospitals after the ambush, but none of the injuries were considered life-threatening. The incident was initially reported as an "active shooter" situation, but the suspect did not shoot anyone.
A police officer was on the scene within a minute and killed the assailant, likely saving lives, university officials said. "He engaged the suspect and eliminated the threat," OSU Police Chief Craig Stone said.

I could accept that statement if the Association took some action to back it up. For starters, say, some serious, continuing, and effective aid to local police in rooting out troublemakers. On-call volunteer Arabic translators for law enforcement agencies might be another help. A large peaceful demonstration condemning this attack might be useful, too.

I’ll tell you what, in 2012, my husband and I went to do early voting. We are very familiar with the area where it was held in Columbus, because our kids went to HS near there. It’s also a stone’s throw from the HS to “little Somalia”. When we pulled in, there were bus loads and bus loads of Somalians there to vote. I was surprised and asked at the time how they were allowed to vote, weren’t they non-citizens? I was told at that time by the election workers that they were allowed to vote. It made me furious. I wondered how they jumped to the front of the line for citizenship. We had friends at the time who were waiting for more than 5 years to become citizens! I am quite sure they were all democrats. I’d even asked to see the material they were given as they got off the bus. It was only democrats listed. It still makes me mad
