Agreed about the Daily Mail, although some of our local papers have been doing their best. The regional and national papers—not so much.
Side note: My opinion is that the Daily Mail is basically the National Geographic of newspapers. Their doing a good job on this is not all that out of the ordinary. I think that they are the best newspaper for photographs anywhere in the world, and they seem to cover the United States extremely well.
I hiked up Mt. LeConte when I was 16 via the Alum Cave Bluff trail. I fell in love with GSMNP that summer. I asked to go back for my high school graduation present and hiked a small piece of the AT in the park from near the Cosby Campground area to New Found Gap. This summer, 28 years later, I finally took my family to the park. My son and I went trout fishing near Elkmont. My prayers go out for all those who live and make their living in and around the park.
“Amazingly some experts counsel against using wood ash for fertilizer. Those of us who have seen the results laugh at such advice.”
The old time mountain folk around here called dumping ashes in the garden, “sweetening the soil”.
*This* is the evil we face, everyday.
Someone just posted this on FB
“they are a huge Somali populaion in Gatlinburg . OSU ring a bell?”
Need to verify that.
It wouldn’t surprise me...there are Moslems all over Tennessee...President Trump had better serve an eviction notice to ALL Moslems so we can ‘Make America Great Again.’
