Well, I’ll say one thing more about Chao. The proof that she’s a BAD NEWS Globalist, open border FOREIGNER will be that the Left will let her sail through. Because she’s one of them.

Time will tell.

BTW...1st strike was Kelo. Trump was wrong. Choa is # 2.
I have stood behind him ALL the way, so I don’t need the preaching. I worked my ass off. I will NOT make excuses for Trump, Bush, you, me or anyone else when they’re wrong.

I don’t engage liars or bullies more than one reply, if at all. My time is too important. - AuntB

Do you also apply this standard to those with whom you disagree?

You see quite vociferous on this thread.

That Trump uses the dinner to tell Romney that he has considered someone else is also my thinking. However, the dinner may be used to offer Romney another job, like Ambassador to France and Monaco; replacing Jane Hartley. We may remember that Romney spent 2½ years in France as a Mormon missionary. He is fluent in French. That’s the ticket.

And priebus joins Ryan to the other hip and to Scott walker who leads the republican governors.

Trump is doing very well so far.

Trump didn’t get to be a BILLIONAIRE and President Elect because he’s STUPID....

He’s BRILLIANT! He can do this without all of yoos hep.

“Better than Bush in 1980.”

Hell, I’M better than that!

***

Ezzactly.

Even with distasteful compromises for incidental offices, we’re in better shape than 1980.

I suppose she thinks capitalizing a bunch of words randomly, and shouting “globalist”, is an argument.

Good point. I had read it earlier, but I fully agree with your thoughts on it.

What can the Democrats do about her appointment? Filibuster?

They’re not going to try that on every appointee. They’ll need to be selective.

If they do let her sail through, it simply means she wasn’t a top priority. While she may turn out to be problematic, we don’t know that yet. She is going to have to tow the line Trump lays down for her.

From past observation, I note that Trump is sometimes willing to forgive critics and work with them. If they already work for him and cross him, they’re out.

Three words-—Chao is a Republican, Asian, and Female. This isn’t about labor, illegal or otherwise. This is about finding the money to fix the roads and bridges. She will be ok doing the bookkeeping, and I seriously doubt if illegals will qualify for these jobs.

Yep, and if there was no eminant domain, we wouldn’t have any highways, football, baseball, basketball, soccer stadiums, civic auditoriums, power plants, large shopping centers, hotels, power grid towers, gas and oil pipelines, railroads, airports, k-12th grade schools, universities, hospitals...

Folks, you are blaming Trump for something that existed long before he came around, and will last centuries into the future.

You may not like eminent domain, but it is a very good tool at times. In Los Angeles there was a slum overlooking the city. The city used eminent domain to provide the Los Angeles Dodgers a new home. It eliminated the shanty town, and cleaned up the area. This improved the property values of homes near the shanty town. It also brought in a lot of revenue into the city. It’s been going strong since the first game opening day - April 10, 1962 - when the Dodgers finally played in their new home before 52,564 fans.

Not everything government does is evil.

When Trump or another large entrepreneur goes to court on these issues, it’s to support an intended enterprise that will employ thousands of people who will be able to purchase or rent homes. Should one family prevent thousands of others from having a chance at a dream they can pay for?

You may not be in as good a position as others to use this little test, but it would be interesting for folks who get about town a lot every day, to consider how many things they do in a day, week, month, and year that is made possible by eminent domain.

Regardless of what your position is, you ought to dial back the name calling.

B is one of the best contributors on this site from my perspective. I can play the name calling game too, but way better than you. Capiche?
