Lifelong Dem Carrier Employee Praises Trump: Done More For Us In 3 Weeks Than Obama Has In 9 Months

This is the second Carrier employee to go on the record praising Donald Trump in two days. These folks are extremely grateful to Trump for saving their jobs and many of them are Democrats!

This man’s name is Rick Link. He’s a lifelong Democrat who voted for Trump and he’s pretty happy about keeping his job. On FOX and Friends, Steve Doocy asked him why he voted for Trump and he said:

“He spoke to me. He hit a chord inside me, he was talking to the working man. He was talking to the middle class. And you know, we’re tired of being the working poor. We bust our tails and for what? Companies are getting tax breaks, CEOs are getting bonuses and we’re getting the shaft.”

Doocy asked him what he would like to say to Trump. He responded:

“Thank you for taking the time. You’re not even the actual President of the United States yet, you’re the President Elect but you’ve done more in your first three weeks of being elected than the current administration has done in the last nine months for us.”

Watch the video:

Trump is so much smarter than the left and the media realize.

If Trump and Pence keep this up, they’ll be re-elected in a Reagan style landslide of 49 states in 2020.

Those “ incentives” keep private companies in business
They are taxes not levied and regulations not imposed
If you consider that money out of your pocket you are beyond help

Private businesses don’t hire people if they’re out of business
So then You the taxpayer get to provide food stamps and welfare to unemployed people in blighted communities with few businesses and fewer jobs - check out Detroit Michigan and Charlestown WV and thousands of other towns and cities with shuttered business facilities and ask the people if they are worried about business growth incentives

If you want tax money , then get people working and paying taxes again
Right now 94 million are not
And you worry about tax incentives to private businesses?
Do you own one?

The former makers of Twinkies were.

The union preferred the company go bust, before giving any concessions.

The unions demanded their jobs back from THE NEW makers of Twinkies.

Union workers no longer make Twinkies.

Oh, he was just talking about his job and the companies situation.

I guess he will get tired of winning now, especially as long as his personal situation is good.

He was talking about Carrier. He’s a Carrier employee. That’s what the discussion was about.

I’m a U.S. taxpayer and I worry about state and federal incentives for private companies.

It's been reported that Carrier got $700,000 a year in tax breaks. I don't know for how many years. That's $700 per employee. What do you think the cost to Indiana and her taxpayers would be for unemployment and other handouts in the event that these 1000 folks all lost their jobs?

States and municipalities have been offering tax incentives to companies to move in or stay put since roughly forever. And it makes sense to do so. The state gets MUCH more from a booming economy than they would from a busted economy and an idle work force.

It’s been 3 weeks and Trump’s not gone golfing yet. And he owns some of the world’s premier golf courses.

For those who are taking this opportunity to dump on this man...Please Stop! Really bad form!

If this guy was a life-long Dem, then it’s safe to assume he was probably truly “low-information.” I’m willing to cut him some slack. The fact is, he was listening to Trump, and Trump cut through the B.S. of what he had been told by the Dems for years. the most important thing: THIS MAN DID THE RIGHT THING AND VOTED FOR TRUMP, AND WILL MOST LIKELY DO THE SAME THING IN 4 YEARS!

Congrats sir for finally getting it. Better late than never! and thank you for voting for DJT...you helped to save our nation!

Actually, truth be known, I don’t think Trump has had very many days off since June 2015. I would like to know the last time he actually did go golfing.

I suspect he never takes off and that if he ever golfed it was purely a business outing.

My first thought also. BO came in to destroy, and he has been most successful. This is where I first go in discussions with Dems. How when people lose jobs and incomes due to gov regulations and restrictions, it trickles down and hurts more than just those primary individuals and their families. It hurts those with whom they shop and do business. Those same businesses cut back and then cannot hire, and people become unemployed. It hurts everyone. They propped up an economy with lies, the FULL EIGHT YEARS.

So they respond with gov bailouts and welfare. And where is that money generated? Oh, that’s right, print it out of thin air. Sigh.

SO business is already picking up in just the past 3 weeks. We see it too in our business. It is encouraging.

You do what you gotta do. You see the big picture. Upstate SC and Gov. Haley have brought a lot of manufacturing jobs to the area. I’m sure they gave concessions but a lot of people have good jobs with benefits. The area is growing and that brings more jobs.

CNN had a Breaking News headline yesterday, (paraphrasing)Carrier deal was due to State of Indiana incentives. They were obviously trying to diminish Trump’s role in this.

I guess they missed the part where Trump AND Pence were negotiating with Carrier.

People don’t often realize how much 1000 good paying jobs impacts a community.

Let’s say the average family for an employee is a 4.4 / husband, wife, 2.2 children. Therefore, the impact of these thousand jobs is immediately 4,400. These families spend in their communities that help others, etc.

Then you have suppliers to the Carrier facility and that impacts a lot of other families. The impact of the loss of 1,000 jobs impacts tens of thousands in a community.

We heard during the campaign about the loss of over 70,000 manufacturing facilities in the USA. Since 1980, every single year, we’ve had fewer manufacturing jobs than we had the year before. It is past time we put a stop to that.

Thank you, Mr. Trump, for putting Americans first.

To you and others who replied to my comment, I’m sorry but not surprised to find so many government people here. You all want to use my money to engineer outcomes. Just let the market work.
