The point of this thread is to understand why the DoJ isn't investigating alleged threats.
The entire justice department needs to be disbanded. It’s useless, unless you are part of that small group known as “just us”.
In order for a threat to be prosecutable, it must be a "true threat". "True threats" exclude threats made in jest (e.g. saying "I'm going to kill you" when you find out you've been the butt of a practical joke) and crude, offensive political statements (see: Watts v. United States). Given that Banerian spent two weeks making political points about the alleged threat before reporting it to police, it seems Banerian recognized the alleged threat as a political statement and not a "true threat" against his safety.
