The city, by becoming a sanctuary city, took on all liability of their policies. Not only would I tell the city to stuff it, I would see about getting a series of class action suits going with all those who have been harmed by this policy.
Huh? Sue them till they are broke!!!!!
Sue the living hell out of them and then let Trumps Santuary City Sanctions bleed them dry, no mercy ...
The story doesn’t make much sense. Was it Rule 11 related? If not, the proper response would be, ‘...and the horse you rode in on.”
Oh, well. They usually don’t hire TV reporters for their intelligence.
Why should they?
Every member of the SF board of supervisors needs to be a named defendant in a civil lawsuit.
Bureau of Land Management
I believe the agent was from the BLM since they are included in the suit.
So the sanctuary city officials do not want to take responsibility for their own policies.......send ‘em all to jail.
No, thanks anyhoo.
And, just who do they mean when they write..."U.S. government"? Did I miss something? Precisely, who from the feds is asking this?
.
In SanFran you can’t advertise soft drinks on a billboard and get it mounted on a publicly-owned building.
In SanFran you can’t have bottled water at any event —the water had to be TRUCKED around, instead of coming out of a pipe, and means FUEL had to be burned. You can’t do it.
I believe you cannot legally buy PETS inside SF city limits.
There are also ZERO gun stores inside of SF city limits.
There are a TON of other weird, lesser-known stuff, too.
Why is she not also seeing the city officials?
“On March 26, 2015, at the request of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, United States Bureau of Prisons (BOP) had turned Sanchez over to San Francisco authorities for an outstanding drug warrant.[29] U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had issued a detainer for Sanchez requesting that he be kept in custody until immigration authorities could pick him up. As a sanctuary city, however, which limits cooperation with ICE only to cases where active charges against the immigrant are identified, San Francisco did not honor the detainer and released him, since they found no active warrant for his arrest.[30] San Francisco officials transported Sanchez to San Francisco County Jail on March 26, 2015, to face a 20-year-old felony charge of selling and possessing marijuana after Sanchez completed his latest prison term in San Bernardino County for entering in the country without the proper documents.[23] He was released from San Francisco County Jail on April 15, and had no outstanding warrants or judicial warrants, as confirmed by the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department.[28]”

It would be nice if the article wrote on what basis the lawsuit is being challenged on...
It can’t be just please don’t sue us...
The city should be sued (paid by those who voted for them) and the city officials should be personally sued for their poor decisions. Sue them very hard.
Is this supposed to mean "will ask", this coming Friday? Or "asked", two days ago? This modern news-speak tic of writing everything as happening in the present tense is an abomination and a crime against language.
It was an agent from the Federal Bureau of Land Management.
Article regarding lost weapon:
BLM: Rangers gun stolen four days before it was used in fatal S.F. pier shooting
They just realized that indemnification stops if you intentionally break the law.
I hope the family wins their suit, and punish the idiots who vote for city leaders who hate America.
