As of now it’s just a ‘notice of appeal’ with no info to look at:

The district court communist judges joke ruling will be thrown out by noon tomorrow. This is utter madness. It is an attempt to hijack democracy. This is third world crap and it needs to be stopped post haste!!

Yep. I’m sure once the court has paperwork in hand they stay the order from the lower court.
Ok, not sure, but hopeful.

Trump and Congress need to pass some SERIOUS election reforms when this is all done.

He said that? The state court should tell him to go pound sand.

Well, that explains the appeal to the 6th Circuit.

Hopefully, there will be a quick hearing and the judge will be reversed.

I posted on another thread: I think judges should be replaced if they are reversed more than a (relatively low) percentage of times.

It’s clear this judge is trying to muscle his court into controlling the recount issue...he used federal law, as he sees it, as to timing (concern for state EV’s are counted) as well as knocking down the cost complaint (concerns with cost pale in comparison to the integrity of election).

This is such a joke— she has zero chance of winning. This is about obstructing the EC.She has absolutely zero standing and is spending 12 million in tax payer money. Hillary and the dems are up to their eye balls in this and they are hurting their party for a long time to come. Get this over turned NOW!!!

Does the federal court even have jurisdiction over state matters such as this?

I doubt they stay it until the Mich SC has ruled.
Can’t see where that would be ‘relief’.The counties have all started or prepared for the recount.
I do expect them to stop the recount then.

And, as I love to point out, the fed judge who ruled to start the recount early said that Mich can take whatever money it spends on a stopped recount out of Stein’s fee.
I hope Mich takes all of Stein’s fee!

Some good news....Stein’s donations for the recount are dribbling in...about $1,000 per hour:

https://jillstein.nationbuilder.com/recount

at this rate, it would take 100 days to reach even the $9.5 million mark!

I got this from another freeper when I asked that same question:

They are heavily conservative. Only two out of 16 are Obama picks. And only one or two Clinton. Rest are Reagan or Bush.

No candidate should be able to request a recount anywhere. There is too much chance for shenanigans. Only a close margin (ie .5%) or the state parties should be able to request a recount.

Thanks to the Voting Rights Act, yes. Unintended consequences.
