Disgruntled Democrats Want A Constitutional Convention To Leave The Union

On Tuesday, disgruntled Democrats held a forum to discuss the possibility of replacing the Electoral College.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) conceded that Democrats could not get rid of the Electoral College due to the way the United States Constitution is written.

“I don’t think we can sustain our American democracy by having the majority ruled by the minority. And so the question is how to fix this since the Constitution is written in such a way that it’s almost impossible to amend,” Lofgren said.

Lofgren went on to say she is open to a Constitutional Convention, “We are three states away from calling for a Constitutional Convention. It’s something I’ve always been opposed to, …. But I’ll say because, for the second time in sixteen years, people the American voters elected did not become president. Rational people, not the fringe, are now talking about whether states could be separated from the U.S., whether we should have a Constitutional Convention. And I think as time goes on that is apt to become more the case unless we here can figure an answer to preventing the majority from being ruled by the minority.

Can you imagine how bad a Constitution written by our current crop of political idiots would be?

This woman truly doesn't know what she's talking about. We are not three states away from any kind of convention. It's scary that a congresscritter of any party should know so little about the Constitution.

Rules are in place since 1861! Have a vote in the state both houses on a single resolution.

I find it telling that they think that they are the majority in the “democracy.” Truth is, they are just the ones that have recently been holding the megaphone.

To put it in language they can understand:

Ha ha! We're holding the talking pillow now, bitches!

Article V ping.

If you want to read an article on the topic of a Convention of the States featuring a congresswoman who knows nothing about the Constitution, you'll find this article entertaining for its ignorance.

38 STATES, not 38 DC RINO's.

No matter. It works the same. My example was a basic version. It applies to state legislatures as well. You'll see.

Last I knew any American is free to move wherever they want. There are many ex-pat Americans in many countries. They could buy an island and call it clintonstan or whatever. Most of them boasted they were leaving if they lost so what’s the big holdup ?

“majority ruled by the minority.”, eh? Just think if they had 2 brains cells to rub together to realize our Constitutional Republic was instituted to prevent just that.

Course, they think *everything* is a Right and those bestowed by decree have greater authority than those from our Creator.

Funny. Given their demographics, they’d end up with the east coast and the west coast, with another country in between, sort of like the old East Pakistan (which became Bangladesh) and West Pakistan. With the same economic results, no doubt.

Well now we’re into the tall weeds. How much can California subvert or impose its will in a Convention of States?

They can have Obama’s extra 7 (or is it 8?) states too.

Add in Johnson, Castle, McMullin and Trump, and right-leaning candidates or one-time Republican candidates WERE the majority.

If Hillary has won I would say it would have been the end of the Republic. That has been staved off. As for the rest of the free world, I’m not sure if their time has ended or not.
