Just out of curiosity...why can’t they pull some southern democrat from Georgia or Louisiana? Does it have to always be some agenda-driven individual? You would think that they’ve lost all understanding of the people who make up the bulk of the party.
1) They don’t really exist these days. The GOP has a stranglehold on that demographic due to purity demands from the DNC.
2) Even if such was nominated, the big city base would scream bloody murder and revolt. He or she wouldn’t last long.
