TANF funds on the EBT card are equivalent to cash, like any debit card. Nothing to do with food stamps or requirements therein.

You can’t buy alcoholic or tobacco products with an EBT card. The authorization computers are set up to reject that kind of purchase. I don’t think Rite Aid would take a chance on adjusting their checkout registers to show a purchase other than what the customer is buying. So something is wrong here, not sure what.

Hold on pardner! To many of us, beer is food, and a six-pack is a six course meal. lol, I agree that beer should not be bought with an EBT card.

iirc, it was reported a while back that cali casinos were accepting EBT cards at their ATMs.
