Kellyanne Conway says she declined press secretary job
Washington Examiner ^

Kellyanne Conway, senior advisor to President-elect Trump, confirmed Monday that she had turned down an offer to serve as press secretary for the incoming White House, a role she described as critical given that the eventual spokesman will face a "hostile press."

"I have politely declined that job," Conway said Monday morning on the "Hugh Hewitt Show" radio program. "I think it's an incredibly important position to fill."

Although the Associated Press had previously reported that Conway rejected an offer to serve as press secretary, her admission Monday marked the first time she had confirmed so publicly.

"As you can imagine, if it's President Trump's administration, communications will be a very important aspect of it, and there will be a number of people handling that," she said.

Coulter would be good and blow their minds as much as Palin would. I just want anybody who the commedia hate with utmost ferocity, so they have to meet and listen to this personnon a daily basis. I want to see the medias heads exploding on a daily basis. Anybody they hate. Palin is good. Coulter is good. Michelle Malkin is good. Just whoever they hate the most and now have to play nice with her to get called on in the press room.

To be lumped in with the likes of Josh Earnest and Jay Carney? I don’t blame her.

Worse. Didi Myers.

Kellyanne should be given the job of calling Valerie Jarrett 2-3X/day to inquire as to her mental health until Kellyanne decides what position works best for her.

I love her.

I love when she starts spouting facts and doesn’t stop.

I love how she challenges back those who challenge her.

She’s not going away but yeah, she would have made a great Press Secretary.

I agree!!! Kellyanne Conway is a once in a lifetime gem for our country and Donald J. Trump. She should be given a position to destroy the entire, low life, Democrat Party politically....once and for all!!! She can do it...effectively, with great success!!! IMHO....Our Lord, God Almighty blessed this nation of ours with a savior, Ms. Kellyanne Conway!!! Donald, put this fabulous woman, into a job and challenge she really deserves, at your right hand!!! A magnificent leader, a great wife, a devotedmother, a blessed woman that makes this male, super proud of this most amazing person!!!

She deserved a higher-level offer than that.

She wants to run an outside org supporting Trump and do some “consulting” on the side. Big bucks. She earned it, IMO.

That’s why Monica Crowley should be the one for it.

Rumor was that Priebus’s boy Spicer was being looked at as communications director with Conway underneath him.

If so an idiotic insult.

If she’s not in DC, she probably won’t be close enough to Trump to do as much good as possible.

As well she should have, even though he could really use her in that position. But she’s way bigger than that, why even give the press the stature to even be in the same room as her? I look forward to hearing about her next moves, and hopefully, no matter what, she’ll still serve a surrogate whenever possible. There’s none better!

And Mr. Kellyanne ought to suck it up and take one for the country. If he doesn’t want to play Mr. Mom, they can at least have a full-time nanny with him scaling back on his high-poweredness for a few years.
