Not really. Trump is Trump. He is acting like a CEO not a strong man
I think he’s engaged in a very effective and time-tested strategy of “co-opting.” When you embrace your critics, ask them to serve in some advisory capacity to serve on a board, or forum, or study group, you quite effectively deceive them into thinking they are on the inside and able to get the change they want. Their ego is stroked and they start defending the person or the policy they once opposed. Rational? If my enemy seeks my opinion and advice, they can’t be ALL bad...right? I’ve seen this co-opting strategy play out in local and state government. It really is a beautiful way to tamp down opposition and silence the most vocal critics.
Maybe Trump is trying to control dissent while paying attention to the legitimate parts of it.
It also throws the anti-Trump movement into further disrepute, as many of the prominent voices from that movement are now traipsing into Trump Tower to be part of the new administration.
Kill them with kindness. This is doubtless part of what made Donald Trump such a great negotiator. If he can’t find the win, he’ll make one, if the deal is worth it.
“Indian-Americans may have supported Trump, but this POS didn’t. She is a libtard nitwit of the highest order, and will bring no value to any substantive discusssion or issue.”
I disagree. There may be times where it is important to find out her opinion so as to do the opposite. Reagan did that!
I’d rather them go from anti-Trump to pro-Trump than remain anti-Trump, wouldn’t you?
What’s the point of carrying these grudges? Nothing we say or think is going to change the trajectory of their business anywhere near as much as what Trump says and thinks. So we are actually best served by trusting him to create relationships with friends and enemies alike, and just look at the results. If his strategy fails, then you can criticize all you want, but until then it’s kinda pointless.
“I thought she was anti Trump. What happened?”
Well, she was, but now she is hitched to the Trump wagon and is helping to pull the load, and if she return to work against his policies he will just discredit her so bad she will be hunting a hole to hide in,, but that is just how I think, LOL
“Are we safe?” No, because nobody is ever “safe” and there is no such thing as being safe. Life is a series of challenges for absolutely everybody and this is by design and it is a good thing. A safe story is a boring and pointless story. Anything can happen to anyone at any moment. Get over the fairy tale, ma’am.
At least she is okay with President Trump. I’m not a Pepsi fan...loves Foxon Park or Hosmer Mountain myself.
Fortunately, Trump doesn’t share that purist approach to people who don’t agree with him on every issue
PepsiCo - supports LGBTWHATEVERS, directly funds PP and selling of baby body parts and spewed hatred of Trump.
Please, don’t tell me Trump has been drinking the Kool-Aid already.
PepsiCo has been on my ban list for years and it will remain on it.
“I thought she was anti Trump. What happened?”
She was, but now she is hitched to the Trump wagon and is helping to pull the load, and if she goes back to work against him, she will just be shunted to a dead end track
This is called getting your opponents to support you. Liberals don’t refuse a US president’s invitation, even when they don’t to. Liberals are sycophantic that way.
There are many reasons to boycott PepsiCo.
We don’t buy their processed junk foods and sugar loaded drinks for health reasons.
As I have posted before. one of the great things about being an American, so far, is the right to say no thank you to whatever.
I agree, if their actions and decisions show they are on Trump’s/our side.
My mother was born in the Show me State, and like her I believe people have changed when they show me.
Maybe Trump sees this as a chance to win her over. you know, to show her that the Reps are really not so bad. Maybe Nooyi is a Gem because she thinks that the Reps are too religiously exclusive.
I dont remove companies from my boycott list until they change management or in the case of movie stars die.
Sure, everyone is safe until a jihadi blows them up.
