We should build them to explode packets of indelible black and blue ink with a terrible smell you can’t get rid of if anyone opens it unauthorized. While playing the National Anthem. Take THAT, Chicoms!

The correct response would be to take a Chinese drone.

I’m sure the Chinese already copied the design of the drone they stole. Just getting it back is not enough. Maybe they will steal a sattelite next and return it later.

It’s far, far scarier to permit them to keep it.

Don’t even ASK them about it.

Just savour the SILENCE —China will absolutely understand.

“We should tell China that the next time..”

I’m sure Obama sent them that strongly worded letter. The Chinese are probably planning to steal a spy sattelite next.

” She tells her husband forget it”
Then when Monday comes she goes and cleans out the bank account gets an attorney and the poor guy doesn’t know what hit him!
That’s Trump, that’s how he plays the game, REAL SMART. So smart Liberals can’t even figure it out!!

“Trump’s Twitter habit is beginning to make me nervous.”

The libs in California have set up safe areas where the Trump tweets can’t penetrate. You can find more info online.

This is fun. It gets more interesting every day. I love it. And, I love being able to say, “Merry Christmas” again. Then I want to see Christmas in the schools and not winter holiday celebrations.

I agree. Trump is doing a troll sequence on the Chinese. First Trump escalates the publicity of the “steal of the drone”. Then he keeps it further publicized by an unexpected 2nd tweet “keep it”.

The Chinese Defense Ministry is bothered from the publicity, stating it’s ‘an “inappropriate” exaggeration of the dispute’.

Well, Trump is escalating the attention whether people understand it or not. It is the same tactic he was able to use to get the media hyped up over issues, tweet out something unusual.

Besides, the “keep it” twist may indirectly take away the leverage the Chinese want in negotiating holding a “bargaining chip” (the drone).

This is a classic psychological game.

Trump is creating wedge between Defense Ministry and PM.

Too bad Trump isn’t president right now, instead of the squishy tootsie roll we currently have for a president. Because this is what Trump could do: Send a large portion of our Navy fleet off the China coast in international waters. Tell the Chinese we’re looking for our lost drone, and will stay until we find it. And tell the sailors it’s okay to piss in the water towards the Chinese looking at our ships.

The correct response would be to disappear the ship that grabbed it. Not the boat, but the ship.

If Apple can make a phone that once you try three wrong passwords it locks up, it would seem we could make a drone that does the same.

(sarc) NYT June 5 1877 editorial...”Ulysses Grant is creating a stir and causing many to question whether he is presidential. He has been using the ‘telephone’!! Previous presidents have used the telegraph, and many wonder why it isn’t good enough for president Grant. Senator Linda Graham deplored his impertinence, saying he is setting a reckless precedent for future-presidents” (/s)

I suspect that China greatly wants to be viewed as having the perceived moral “high ground” in this diplomatic & military incident - in the publicity of it all - even if some military person made a mistake in this capture incident.

More importantly, now the asian “saving face” culture comes into play.

First, Trump make it widely known to the American people of the blatant “yanking it out of the sea” framing of the first tweet wording. This forces the Chinese to explain or respond with their side of the story.

Now Trump has changed the tactic to keep them from their “saving face”. i.e. Trump is inferring that even giving it back doesn’t satisfy - “just keep it” (or “we don’t want it back - you stole it”.

Now the Chinese are stuck not having a clean “saving face” publicity situation.

I agree that this can create “wedges” between factions within the Chinese govt (PM & CDM).

— what is humorous are that these games should be well known to any youngster who had siblings. I laugh at the games: Mom! he took it from me! Fine! Here take it back! No! I don’t want it now! LOL (I wonder if the Chinese ever learned from these games... :)
