Michelle Obama says she can “feel the difference” since the election. She claims that with her husband leaving the White House the nation is entering a “period of hopelessness.” With the election of Donald Trump, the Left in general is reacting in unhinged ways, with one news outlet claiming, “The Left has lost its collective mind.”
Ironically, the Left is attacking Trump for the actions that they indulged in to the extreme over the past 8 years. They are doing a lot of “projection” –– a term psychologists use to describe the practice of attributing to others your own flaws.
For the past 8 years, Americans have seen unprecedented attacks on religious liberty and other basic freedoms through politically correctness and growing intolerance of anything conservative. The Left, according to the Daily Mail, has called people racist and stoked racial unrest, including riots in major cities. Now, the Left is ramping up those arguments saying Trump and Conservatives will engage in exactly those actions – racism and intolerance for anyone who doesn’t agree politically or religiously. They’ve added homophobia and created an atmosphere of fear for the vulnerable.
The left, who used every possible means at their disposal to curtail religious liberty (believers must bake cakes or take pictures at LGBT “weddings,” etc.), project onto Conservatives the tactics that they employed when they were in power. They appear to have no comprehension of the fear many Americans felt under President Obama’s threats to “fundamentally transform America.” They were very happy to lump Evangelical Christians into a “basket of deplorables.” In their eyes, it was perfectly legitimate to portray mainstream Evangelicals as “alt-right” to be feared and hated because of their “extremism” and punished for living out their faith in everyday life.

There’s a renewal breakaway that could be brewing with the Methodists — Wesley Covenant Association — but I’ve still got my same old hesitation about female ordination, so I doubt I’ll go that direction if they break off.

They may consider themselves "Christians", but what does Jesus say?
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23)
The four verses which precede these talk about false prophets -- "ravening wolves" in "sheeps clothing". By their fruits we shall know them. Look around: death threats, lies and false accusations, violence, murder, slaughter, mayhem, ...
Their social activism defines them as children of their "father" (Satan).
1 John 5:1 says: "Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him"
Does the Christian left LOVE evangelicals? No. They hate them. Which group hates those "born of God"?

The only Christian denominations I know of without female ordination are: Missouri Synod Lutheran, Orthodox, Catholic, Southern Baptist, a variety of independent Baptists.

The author, and so many of us here at FR, forget that part of the Bible where Jesus told the Sanhedrin and the Roman governor to use their swords to take money from the rich and give it to the poor.

My daughter has a group of friends (ages 13-15) from our homeschool co-op. One of the girls is the daughter of a Lutheran minister and this election revealed much about their family.
They were huge Bernie supporters and when Trump won, this girl (very dramatic 14 year old) was distraught to the point where she claimed that she considered suicide. Said on the group chat,”you don’t understand, I have to live in this country,too!” She’s terrified of Trump.
Her mom, active in their church as the minister’s wife, had been on the homeschool co-op board for years, but recently quit that while still heading up the music classes at co-op. I found out it’s because all board members were required to sign a very basic statement of faith. She refused. At first I was surprised as the mom is so sweet and kind, but now I see that as dangerous-a wolf in sheep’s clothing. After one co-op this fall my younger daughter started talking about a “hero” they learned about in music class-Nelson Mandela. The mom is so gentle and nice that no one would ever complain about her teaching so we just studied more about what he actually did at home.

Notice what Jesus did and didn't say. Did He say "you are not 'real' Christians; Depart from me, ..." No, He said "I never knew you; Depart from me ..." It is not up to us to to decide or define who is or is not a "Christian" nor is it up to the journalist media to define.
People who identify (accurately or not) as "Christian" are perceived by the world as Christians. So rather than saying "there is no such thing as the Christian left" we should simply point out areas in which the Christian Left is wrong both spiritually and economically.
Yeah and all those mass shootings they do as well.
