My mother and father in law are Catholic and hard leftist. She went to high school with Harry Reid who remembered her name years later. He just wants to keep the peace.

I explained the world to them once since they asked. She said, “hmmm interesting” in a remarkably condescending tone. They live in Arizona and fancy themselves superior because they care about native American history and sympathize with their plight.

They may call themselves “Christian”, but if you look at the Democrat/Left platform & what that espouses, they are not Christian.
Same for my in-laws. Except they go to a conservative Lutheran church.
They were in DC in the 60’s during the marches and unrest. It shaped them. Thank God they raised a thinking daughter.
I agree, I know a LOT of people who consider themselves Christian Left. Most of what I see of them, they’re just a lot more vocal about “caring” for others. They do just as little to actually help anyone else. They are much more bitter, much unhappier people overall, and always blaming others for the unhappiness they see around them. They have fallen hard for the “social justice” crap and they live in a bubble where they can’t imagine that anyone else could be a Christian and not want “social justice.” I believe they are sincere in their beliefs. They’re just wrong.
Still, I’m tired of anyone saying, “You’re not a REAL Christian unless (...you follow my rules and my definition of Chrisianity...).”
Being Catholic doesn't make them Christian. I know a Catholic couple who are union thug liberals. They go to mass once in a while but their whole life is about worldly things and they love the Democrat party. They believe every lie about Republicans. Almost every Christian I know is a Republican. So I am really skeptical about "Christians" who are so far from the truth. Well, except really low information low IQ Christians.
Sorry. I don’t believe a person can be a Christian and hard left. The hard left supports just about every sin found in the Bible and a few that are not. No Christian can repeatedly endorse gross immorality.
Catholic. Baptist. Doesn’t matter. If you cheer sin, there is something very wrong.

any familial distribution so heavly skewed to females is going to be distinctly leftist; and the cultural obsession with female empowerment ensures a bleak future for our progeny...
