Forgotten tragedy of Armenian genocide

Theodore Roosevelt continued: “Armenians have been butchered under circumstances of murder and torture and rape that would have appealed to an old-time Apache Indian. … Wholesale slaughter of the Armenians. … The crowning outrage has been committed by the Turks on the Armenians. … I trust that all Americans worthy of the name feel their deepest indignation and keenest sympathy aroused by the dreadful Armenian atrocities.”

Historian Arnold Toynbee wrote: “The Turks draft the criminals from their prisons into the Gendarmeri to exterminate the Armenian race. … In 1913 the Turkish Army was engaged in exterminating the Albanians. … Greeks and Slavs left in the territory. … The same campaign of extermination has been waged against the Nestorian Christians on the Persian frontier. … In Syria there is a reign of terror…”

Toynbee continued: “Turkish rule … is … slaughtering or driving from their homes, the Christian population. … Only a third of the two million Armenians in Turkey have survived, and that at the price of apostatizing to Islam or else of leaving all they had and fleeing across the frontier. …”

Armenia’s pleas at the Paris Peace Conference led Democrat President Wilson in a failed effort to make Armenia a U.S. protectorate.

Moose limbs carrying on time (dis)honored traditions against Christians. Mrs. rktman went to Armenia shortly after the collapse of the soviet union to help teach some folks about free enterprise and business workings. She said the people were awesome and glad to be free. She tried to get me to go but due to some work related security issues, I had to stay in the U.S. Man was she shocked at the conditions she was met with.

World Magazine did a special story along the same line. There is lots of suffering and injustice in this world.

There’s only ONE horrific image out of so many atrocities that I can’t get out of my head.

From all the atrocities committed by men throughout history, the picture of lines of crucified young Armenian women haunts me still.

I don’t know why that particular image disturbs me so much.

Considering there are so many horrific pictures of cruelty around now.

I have Armenian Christian friends.
They originally fled Armenia to Lebanon during the Genocide; later were driven out of Lebanon to the USA when muslims made it too dangerous to stay in Lebanon.

I met the parents of an Armenian friend at a party last year, and the father was telling me about the experience. He had fled to Russia with family after his older brother, his wife and small children were all executed in their home. Poor old man was sobbing as he told his story.

Ottoman Empire supposedly blotted out in WWII. Like a disease, until every bit of it is wiped out, it just comes back again, multiplying logrithmically. Has to be kept in a zoo, like a tiger, for ignoramuses to be wised up, seeing its teeth and claws and roars while totally (?) safely (?) kept in.

However, Islam, just another version of Satanism, is an idea, not a pennable creature. How ya gonna keep it in when it infects someone's mind?

Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? Invite it\them into your country? Settle them into farms out in the boondocks? Turn over socialist-ruined cities to them? Tolerate their belief structures? Fill your academic faculties with them?

They're here, folks, they're here.

So have to agree, where is God in this? Why didn’t Jesus save them? It’s one thing to agree to do die as part of saving all humanity (Jesus), it’s another to be sacrificed with no help from your God who claims to be with you always.

I think it is customary to make an offering of sour wine when making such observations.

The impact of seeing the crucified young Armenian women haunts me also.

It must take especially hateful and twisted souls to kill young women in that manner.

I don't mean to discount what was done to young men, but crucifying young women raises the bar of despicable human behavior to a terrifying level, which I suppose was the purpose.

Denial of the Armenian Genocide has become almost as trendy as Holocaust Denial amongst certain segments of the SJW population.

I can’t help thinking of those placards I’ve seen from time to time, both at protests and on university campuses. They depict a poisonous, blood dripping tree which spells out “GeNOcide” in the branches, and: “An Armenian LIE since 1915” in the roots.
