There is a simple way to force even the democrats to want to repeal this thing. As written the law allows exemptions to be handed out solely at the discretion of the administration. Obama and his lackeys have done so for favored groups repeatedly. Trump can simply enforce the law as written with no exemptions for any groups, they will be begging to have ObamaCare repealed.

Good start for a new congress. Now make it happen along with multitudes of other nonsense laws.

Wonder if those Democrats up for reelection will go along or be an obstacle?

Whatever they replace it with will be unconstitutional as well. The Fed Gov’t has NO business being involved in the marketplace of healthcare between ‘free’ citizens and the health care they choose to purchase.

That said, baby steps will hopefully get us closer to real freedom, one day. I may not be alive to see it though LOL.

Yes.

While recognizing that OCare was initiated as law in an unconstitutional manner, This should be morphed into law that the gov’t cant tax/force you to buy anything.

Anyone that thiks about it knows you can't pull the table cloth out in one "woosh" w/o putting a replacement in effect.

Why not?

It will have to be phased to keep the Left from screaming in agony and parading all them that "lost their superb plans" out to "prove" that trump hates the little folks.

The left are going to scream anyway. Once the repeal is announced then insurance companies are going to bail from the exchanges as fast as they can since there is no way they can make money without the Obamacare protections, so why delay the inevitable? We will almost certainly face 2018 without any coverage for those who were on Obamacare, and with whatever excuse for a replacement a year or two or three away. So why prolong the agony? Make a quick, clean break and let the market sort itself out. The short term pain will be more than offset by the long term gain of having the government out of the health care insurance business.

I don’t trust any senators; is this a red herring?

I mean it. I don’t know this guy and the “R” means nothing.

He and they may know it goes nowhere w/out 60 votes unless they say nuclear option. Nucular if you are a Bush.

No, actually the biggest win is last night’s #9 USC’s heart-stopping victory over #5 Penn State in the last five seconds of the Rose Bowl. We were two touchdowns down in the last five minutes, but 18-year-old QB Sam Darnold lead his team to both TDs and then the FG in the last play of the game. There was so much screaming at my sister’s house that I’m surprised the neighbors didn’t call the police.

Baby steps increase the damage. End it quickly, at once, and accept the short term pain in favor of the long term gain.

“The “signature” bit is old and needs to stop. We need to reject cult-of-personality language.”

Really? That thin-skinned? Obama, himself, claimed it was his signature legislation.

"Trump can simply enforce the law as written with no exemptions for any groups, they will be begging to have ObamaCare repealed."

Can Trump use and EO to raise the penalty to $10,0000.00? That would get all of the people to push their representation to pull it.

... after almost 3 decades, the pendulum is swinging hard our way.

... just starting to win, not tired of it yet.

... most of my adult life I’ve been waiting for this, now it’s here.

Di it! Repeal, no replacement. Then we can negotiate a replacement (or not) without democrats having any leverage to force bad deals on the American people.

The time for baby steps is over. Our baby steps have been overwhelmed by their giant steps. Baby steps are how we got here.

Destroy the Democrats. Their ideology has failed. Destroy the globalist RINOs. Their ideology has failed.

I suspect - given their position relative to Democrats - that Republicans believe things couldn’t be better. Their party is hanging by a thread. RINOs in Congress had better toe the line or they’re done.

You would have a point but for that Obassturd is SUCH the freakin’ narcissist.

The AFA is Opukester’s “signature” legislation just like Auschwitz was Adolph’s “signature” game preserve.

It is in THAT context we clearly see how grotesque it is to employ the term “signature.”

I would suggest those who want to grandstand on this issue, should have something set up to replace it with before simply lopping the whole thing off.

We want a well thought out plan that can meet the needs of the nation and not cause complete chaos.

Trump knows this. Yahoos like this guy haven’t a clue.
