RE: The question is why isn’t every black-on-white crime considered a hate crime? The comparatively few white-on-black crimes certainly are.

Why isn’t black on black or even White on White crime considered hate crime?

Is there an assumption that when you torture or kill someone of the same race, there is no hate in it?

The answer is that the labeling of “hate crime” is the product of an agenda meant to go only one way. A crime is a crime, regardless of the criminal’s feelings or motive. But if we’re going to have them, it’s a hate crime in itself to have them only go one direction.

Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome’s kidnapping, torture, rape and murders were not hate crimes, IIRC.
