I lived in Vermont for 30 years. It was exhilarating to just strap on whenever you wanted.
There are hardly any car jackings or B&Es into occupied residences in Vermont. That’s an easy way to simply be shot dead.
If I were traveling I would want to know if the “carry without a permit” law in each of these states applies to everyone, or only to the residents of each state.
I live in Maine, one of those states.
Maine has had open carry for as long as I can remember;
Constitutional Carry became law in October, 2015.
No problems caused by it at all, and one of the lowest crime rates in America.
The ability to carry a self defense firearm is important. Of the states mentioned, I wonder how many allow a gun owner to blow a perp out of his socks without legal repercussions?
I would love Georgia to become constitutional carry.Somebody please tell its coming.I have my eye on a live gun Sherman.
A similar law has been languishing in the Oklahoma state legislature for about a year, now. Come on, Mary Fallon! Sign it!
There’s a bit of grumbling in Missouri where the same legislature that passed permitless concealed carry has just made the state capitol a gun-free zone. People unclear of the concept I guess.
