Don't mess with CNN.
That's the unvarnished version of a message that the network's president, Jeff Zucker, delivered to President-elect Donald Trump in an interview published on Thursday by New York magazine.
"One of the things I think this administration hasnt figured out yet is that theres only one television network that is seen in Beijing, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Baghdad, Tehran and Damascus - and thats CNN," Zucker said. "The perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake."

Good insight.
Read his remarks.
Zucker never defended the quality of CNN’s coverage. He only said that his reporters try to ignore the criticism they receive. He never claimed that they were trying to be accurate and balanced.
He never addressed the reasons for Trumps disdain for CNN.
Good insight.
Why do that when he can just shot their satellite out of the sky? Just label them S an Enemy of the State and be done with it.
CNN can watch Fox news for WH press conferences.
This is why revoking their privileges is necessary. As long as they retain those privileges they can point to them as prima facie evidence of legitimacy.
They are not legitimate press, and reinforcing that point means to stop treating them, in the normal course of business, as if they are. They should be treated like any other advocacy group.
Jeff, every single US Ambassador is going to tell the host nation that this White House has a Twitter Account. Nuff said.
I think Donald Trump intends to shape the world opinion using his policies and actions as opposed to "letting" a single new agency define him.
I think when people are exposed to "reality vs. lies" lies lose every time.
Sorry CNN, you will not define President Trump and direct his actions, he will.
I agree. We need to deny them legitimacy. We need to do this in every way possible.
They are not legitimate press, and reinforcing that point means to stop treating them, in the normal course of business, as if they are. They should be treated like any other advocacy group.
Exactly, and the public needs to be constantly reminded that they are.
Oh grow a pair!!!! If you have to resort to false reporting, you are not worthy of anything.
Zucker, fake news is fake news no matter what city you show it in.

stupid is as stupid does
More like thrown a rubber chicken across the road.
“...theres only one television network that is seen in Beijing, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Baghdad, Tehran and Damascus - and thats CNN...”
And my response is that the despots in those capitals already certainly know what propaganda looks and sounds like. The totalitarians in Beijing, Moscow, Pyongyang, Tehran and Damascus all have PhD’s in using their “media” to shape their messages to their prisoners (aka “citizens”).
Is that true that CNN gets any government funding whatsoever?
Or they could become less biased!
One thing is for sure, when President Xi spoke at Davos or during Osama Bin Laden’s last recording, they sounded like CNN newscasters.
At least the 'skeletal remains' wouldn't be as hard to look at as the original version.
. . . as is the idea that a moderator should be positioned above the future POTUS and his (/her) competitor in Great Debates.Future debates among political contenders must all be conducted online, with the broadcasters having the option of broadcasting actual debates - or being irrelevant if they demand a neutral Democrat moderator.
