Exactly. They have the natural concerns you’d expect when deliberating on something like this.

Yep - I’d wager it’s an inside job intended to keep the RINOs spineless and willing to ‘reach across the aisle”. I smell McCain’s stench all over this.

Meeting rooms wired for audio, including recording capability. Willing to bet some A/V d-bag at the retreat site did it.

If an indigent shows up at an E.R., the government winds up picking up the tab.

You think that an indigent will buy healthcare insurance under Obamacare or any replacement you might care to name? Really?

Something along those lines would be my guess as well.

There will be fallout and a cascade of lies repeated by the old media. Some freepers will even attack the new media and the new media are friends, not enemies.

Not a single republican voted for it. Keep in mind the old media liars were prepared to defend the criminal acts laid down in Obamacare and to label all opponents racists. When you control the old media, you control political opinion and the lives of people. Fortunately, the new media has spread the truth and helped put President Trump in office. 95% of republicans are now squarely with the President. The Muslims have lost power.

They’re just going to have to do a better job of OPSEC

Maybe for the retreat, but for passing any healthcare bills it should be an open to the public process. I don't think we want a Republican version of "you have to pass it, to see whats in it"

Why the dramatic sigh?

There hasn’t been a free market in health care since the mid 1960s at least. DJT and this Congress will move the ball in the right direction.

Lighten up, Francis. :-)

>>> Not a single republican voted for it.

I know that. I know Pelosi ‘deemed it (ACA) passed’.

I was asking if any of the wussy and wobbly Congressional Republicans ever pledge/promise on repealing ObamaCare during their campaigns?

The people in their districts these are supposed to represent should check and double-check on the unfaithfulness (if they did) of these critters.

p/s

I should add ‘defund’ in the repealing ObamaCare sentence, too

DJT and this Congress will move the ball in the right direction.

Replacing Obamacare with another government program is not "moving in the right direction". It's perpetuating the problem. Repealing and not replacing would at least get us closer to where we were, which is closer to a free market solution than we would be with Obamacare lite.

Lighten up, Francis. :-)

This isn't a light subject. Diving down the same rabbit hole the Democrats went down is only going to cause problems and either delay or derail some of Trump's other proposals.

Make no mistake...behind the scenes Trump and his team are beating on Ryan and Trump is smartly using Ryan’s friend Preibus to beat on Ryan.

If that isn’t happening then call me a naive idiot, but I don’t think I am wrong on this.

I would suspect his team is also reaching out to healthcare providers CEO’s and such to read the landscape and be successful.

This is understood. I was talking about strategy sessions in developing what they want to put out for consumption that includes time for public review and input before actually voting.

1) There is no ‘fixing’ that which govt. shouldn’t be involved. Govt doesn’t FIX ‘problems’ to begin!

2) 22 mo. and I’ll bet some here will still be saying, “We have to give # so we...”. No matter for 6+ years the ‘leadership’ and party haven’t done SH!T in this issue; or anything else We elected them to do (PP, NPR/PBS, illegals, O’Care, debt, IRS\DHS\EPA\DoEd\etc.). Most likely they will balk, hem-n-haw and oppose anything resembling a return to personal choice\Free Market.

I suspect they are on a bit of a tightrope. If ACA is falling apart as fast I think it is, they won’t be able to diddle dally around for too long asking for public input.

Obamacare has destroyed the democrat party. The GOP doesn’t want to give up its favorite political clubbing apparatus. I get it but the expiration date is here. Time to give up the toy and do the right thing.
