I don’t begrudge him the victory...I just think that’s the kind of talk reserved for the buddies at the bar. Not to the police and the media. We all have our own proclivities. I’m just one to be more careful about mine because I live in the real world of this country today.
The guy who lives in the "real" world, as you you call it, was the man who was being held-up and shot the bad guy. He lives in the real world of crime-ridden Detroit. He's a hero. You called him "stupid" in one of your posts.
What you describe as advice and caution, was your "idealism" after the fact from afar.
Saying “it was stupid” isn’t the same as saying “he’s stupid.”
You’re just a bravado contrarian that won’t let go. You have a nice day fella. I really don’t have anything more to say to you, really. It’s wasted time, frankly.
Oh, I agree. I was just commenting on what Id do to keep the image of so then I lit him up from propagating uncontrollably and being misinterpreted, thats all.

Common usage in the military.
When I was in the term was “wasted him.”
Dennis said, When I saw he had the gun in her face, and I threw my wallet down and keys, he turned to look and get the money, thats when I lit him up. He then kicked the robbers gun away and tended to the wounded suspect until first responders arrived.I hate that "first responders" bullshit.
Dennis, YOU were the "first responder"
So called "first responders" almost never are.
First responders are friends, neighbors, bystanders.
What he said was stupid but he's not stupid? That's a real pretzel-twisting stretch.
Never saw that one before. Perfect.
Never seen that before. Hilarious!
Tell you what Gaffer, when my xd mod2 in .45 exits its holster an incapacitating hi lum light is flashing along with a green laser. The only thing that will save the perp is if he immediately drops his gun. My .45s do not know how to fire just one round.
I LOVE that scene
I still laugh every time I watch it!
This is a wonderful news story. Thank you so much for posting it.
Maybe. Shrimp from the Detroit River?
A number of (blue) states treat self-defense as a crime equal to the assault or robbery.
I would not tend to the wounded suspect but keep my weapon on him or her until authorities arrived. Playing possum aint funny.
Even better, carry a throwaway wallet. Just for such kinds of events.
