Senate Democrats on Tuesday refused to attend a committee vote on two of President Trumps more controversial nominees, effectively delaying their consideration.
Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee boycotted votes to advance Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), Trumps pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services, and Steven Mnuchin, his selection to head the Treasury Department. The pair had been among some of the more contentious selections to join Trumps Cabinet.

Thank God the president can't fire senators or congressmen. We have separated powers for a reason. Don't throw out the Constitution just because the 'Rats are abusing their authority.
They are allowed to make their rules, per the Constitution.
So in other words Price and Mnuchin were passed out of committee by unanimous vote? Sweet.

"You are seeing today an all-out attempt to marshal the forces of the opposition, using not merely the communists or their fellow travelers -- the deluded liberals, the eggheads, and some of my good friends in both the Democratic and Republican Parties who can become heroes overnight in the eyes of the left-wing press if they will just join with the jackal pack." -- Joseph McCarthy
I’m praying for the Trump administration very fervently.
I agree. McConnell could strighten the entire mess out in a few hours. He could shut the Dems out of every process and bring all the R matters to the floor. Why is he waiting?
SCREW THAT!
Needs to be a majority of members present - and if you choose not to be present when the vote is called, tough cookies!
Will the capon repubs EVER grow a pair? They are too worried about the useless DIMs liking them. What complete gelding losers.
True. Agree. But the “rats” need to be removed by the voters for sure. And the senate leadership needs to consider effective responses to prevent further deliberate interference with its deliberations and work duties.
It’s all about priorities - how important are your values and your country to you? Are we going to let the mob roll us again?
We have to change our mindset from one of “I’m too busy working and don’t have time for that” to “It is important to do that, how can I do it”.
One good thing is that President Trump will fight back against this nonsense.
And we have to help him. I will be contacting my Dim Senator, Sherrod Brown this afternoon. I will also be contacting my allegedly Republican Senator, Rob Portman because I don’t trust him. And Mitch McConnell too because he is suppose to be the leader in the Senate.
Burn up their phone lines. Crash their e-mail servers.
Do it for 24 hours and fill all those empty Federal judicial seats.
Mic drop.

Didn’t the dems unwittingly provide us with the gift of nuclear option?
This should have been over a week ago!
Man, Democrats are pathetic. Did the Senate GOP act like this with Obama’s picks?
McCarthy was right!
“Our side doesnt protest. When weve had enough we will form infantry regiments.”
That is not an excuse. We are just letting these people get away with it if that is the standard we are going by!
Like what the hell is “had enough” even supposed to look like? When they are kidnapping kids and assaulting them online live? When they are shooting into homes?
The rule is in place. It's to put the Senate in recess and the president can make recess appointments for every, single position including SCOTUS.
Give President Trump a 24 hour notice so he can line everyone up... done and done. Move on.
