Same with my Dad. 83 years old now, he was a lifetime Democrat in the Harry Truman mold and he left the party mid way thru O's first term because he couldn't believe how his party could support a guy who lied about his true intentions for America. My Dad is a retired banker (and USCG Reserve) who brought his values to work everyday, making small business loans, supporting those local businesses, active in our church, Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. He doesnt recognize the party today and have told him he would be hard pressed to find a Democrat father today in the mold that he was when we were little.
