It’s crazy to have all of life politicised. It won’t end well.

Refugees come from a culture that do not use toilet paper, but their hands to wipe fecal matter from themselves after they have a bowel movement!

Since these people are resistant to western customs, I would purchase coffee from another coffee chain!

This is no joke.

Can you just imagine the line of people trying to get a refugee to understand they want a “caramel soy machiota with foam and NO drizzle...”

Lol

This plan is not a serious plan. It’ll never happen, it’s to make Mr. Starbucks feel good about himself.

I am a long time consumer of Starbucks Espresso. It comes in 12 oz bags both ground and whole bean. I buy the ground version.

Due to the idiotic behavior of the Starbucks CEO, I’ve decided to look around for an alternate source that more or less matches the Espresso roast that I’ve grown used to.

Suggestions welcomed. We should all be doing what we can to boycott Starbucks.

Just went to the website..... http://www.blackriflecoffee.com/

They are sold out of almost every coffee blend ... out of 40 or so products, maybe 2-3 left to purchase :)

That tweet was the best decision the guy ever made!

Starbucks is on my no no list. It was overpriced anyways. Feels good to hit them where it hurts.

I been known to pick up a cup of Starbucks because they are in the Safeway where I shop. I like very dark robust coffee and every now and then theirs hit the spot. But, now I'll dump them altogether.

The hunt is on for something dark roasted and on the robust side.

In the meantime I'll amuse myself picturing the look on a newly minted Somali barista when a pasty white raggedy dreadlock hippie woman orders a, "quad long shot grande in a venti cup half calf double cupped no sleeve salted caramel mocha latte with 2 pumps of vanilla substitute 2 pumps of white chocolate mocha for mocha and substitute 2 pumps of hazelnut for toffee nut half whole milk and half breve with no whipped cream extra hot extra foam extra caramel drizzle extra salt add a scoop of vanilla bean powder with light ice well stirred"

In fairness, SB has hired veterans, as well as low-income people, so I’d cut them some slack there. Theoretically, a company can hire whomever they want.

However, I find absurd their recent decision toward hiring refugees, or rather, making refugees a priority. SB has been in the forefront with liberal causes — gay rights, feminism, etc. Why are they supporting a group that collective persecutes gays, women, Jews (CEO Shultz is Jewish)?

For that matter, why do they even support liberals, period? These are the people smashing SB windows at demonstrations.

In 2013, Starbucks announced a commitment to hire 10,000 veterans by the end of 2018 — in essence, the same commitment that CEO Howard Schultz made on Sunday to refugees. The company says it has hired more than 8,000 veterans and military spouses since 2014.

Good to see Joe the Plumber still active. He’s the guy that gave Obama a hard time in Northwest Ohio when Obama spewed his liberal BS.

When 11,000 air traffic controllers called his bluff, President Reagan fired all of them–it’s called leadership

That's simply not true. Reagan gave them all the opportunity to get back to work, but they wouldn't and thus they quit.

So... is the CEO saying that he’s going to fire 10,000 current employees ? I mean, it’s not like they can build more STARBUCKS. They would have to start stacking them on top of each other.

Do you HEAR THAT, STARBUCKS EMPLOYEES ? YOU ARE ALL GOING TO BE REPLACED BY FOREIGNERS.

I can’t join in any Starbucks boycott. I have never crossed the threshold of one of those places and plan to never co it. The whole idea of overpriced second rate coffee for yuppies and wannabes kind of turns me off.
