Mayor Steve Fulop will sign an executive order tomorrow that his office says will make the city a true "sanctuary city" for immigrants who entered the country illegally. Fulop told The Jersey Journal on Monday that he was working on the order, soon before a rally on Newark Avenue that attracted more than 1,000 people protesting President Trump's actions targeting illegal immigration and refugees. The city did not make the language of the order available in advance. The mayor's office said it was drafted with the help of immigration groups and the ACLU of New Jersey.

Isn't the whole Cloward-Piven strategy based on overloading the welfare system until it breaks in an attempt to cause a revolution? Is that what we are seeing here on a grand scale? Seems like these mayors, and the Governor of California, are playing chicken with the Trump administration, betting that Trump will flinch. If he doesn't, and all these cities, counties and states lose blocks of federal dollars, where do they expect to find the money? I see local taxes rising on the few middle-class folks trapped there, while these entities lawyer-up to overload the liberal courts with ultimately frivolous suits.
