Didn’t read the article, but regardless, this is a job for the DOJ not the Senate.

Sure. Leave it up to the States. Like California.

As a (retired) pollster, I would like to see a random sample of votes from California audited. Take 1000 genuinely random ballots cast in the 2016 general election. Check whether the ballots were marked for President and for Congress/Senate. Check whether they were legally eligible to vote (citizens, didn’t vote in another state, not prohibited felons, alive, non-fictional, valid address, etc.). For an almost trivial cost, you could get a good estimate of the number of fraudulent votes in California, a likely major player in illegal alien vote fraud.

Do the same in four other suspect states. The end result would be an accurate estimate of the scale of the actual problem. If there really were 3 million fraudulent votes, that is 1/20 of national votes, so we should find about 50 fraudulent votes in the sample of 1000 California ballots alone. If we find nothing, we know the Ctrl-Left was telling the truth, for once. If we find fraud, we have a statistically valid measure of the magnitude of that fraud. At that point, it would be hard to block a formal investigation.

Total cost? Assuming a professional can check 10 ballots a day, that is 20 work weeks to answer an important question. Allowing for benefits, and early-career workers with some experience, that’s no more than $30k. I’d say it’s worth it.

THIS A**HOLE IS GONE.

HE JUST SPOUTED THE DNC TALKING POINTS ON THIS.

CALIFORNIA ALONE HAS A LEAST A MILLION ILLEGALS VOTING. LOS ANGELES COUNTY IS 20% ILLEGALS AND NOBODY DISPUTES IT.

THEY GET REGISTERED BY THE MOTOR VOTER ACT AND THE ALLEGED AMERICAN - ALEX PADILLA, (D) MEXICO NORTE - MAKES SURE IT HAPPENS.

MCCONNELL IS DONE SCREWING OUR COUNTRY FOR HIS WIFE AND A FEW BUDDIES IN HILLBILLY COUNTRY. NEEDS TO BE REPLACED YESTERDAY BEFORE HE DESTROYS ANYMORE OF WHAT PEOPLE FOUGHT TO WIN.

“McConnell is following Soros orders.”

Well then couldn’t Trump declare Soros and his groups as terrorist organizations and cut off funding?

I just heard McConnell on a TV talk show and he sounds like a naysaying Democrat. He has to go, and go now!

President Trump wants a voter fraud investigation.

President Trump is going to get a voter fraud investigation. Period. He does not take no for an answer.

The GOP-e will be steamrolled as necessary.

taxpayers would rather PAY to clean up vote fraud then spend money on their ridiculous grants, porks, vacations, pensions, security.....

Not to mention ridiculous grants, porks, vacations, pensions, security, cars, hookers, mosks etc for illegal aliens and "refugees".

It doesn’t matter what he thinks. Vote fraud is a federal crime. Trump’s AG and FBI director thus do not need any permission from Congress to investigate crimes, nor to prioritize which crimes get investigation resources.

If Trump’s AG decides to devote a high percentage of FBI resources on investigating and prosecuting vote fraud, there’s not a damn thing that Congress can do. Which is why they are stalling on Session’s confirmation until the shredding and coverups are complete.

Once you open this can of worms, and admit that roughly 2.5 (just a wild guess) of the votes are not legit...then you open a bigger can of worms because the solution or repairs are enormous. Just to have a whole year of political discussion would tear people up greatly because it means you have to throw every state’s list of registered voters out, and you start to really change the landscape of Chicago, California, etc. Even in Kentucky, you could be talking about 100,000 fake votes existing in the state.

Just on the trust level, it makes the US look foolish that they’ve allowed this to continue for decades, and the Presidency of Clinton, Bush and Obama are also called into question.

That's an improvement. Just like the prostitute joke, we are now arguing over how much...:^)
