So, by extrapolation, if I finger paint a dead fish and apply gold leaf to it, it’s *fabulous*?

:D

My windows look like this, thanks to my dogs’ nose art.

[Jack the dripper <-—epic, stealing that] LMAO

If somebody gave it me, I would take it solely to turn around sell it.

Bleah.

Oh that’s not mine. Heard it ages ago. I think someone coined it back when he first became famous.

Lol! There are chimps that create better “art” than that. There’s even a horse that paints. They stick a brush in its mouth and it moves it over a canvas.

One thing you can say about a Jackson Pollock work is that there is a lot going on in them (complexity and nuance). :D

Oh I forgot to give that work its official title. It’s called Number 17A. Created in 1948. Sold by the David Geffin Foundation to Kenneth C. Griffin for $200 million in 2015.

Here is a current weather map I stole from the snowstorm thread. I think the creator is God. He does artistic work on a continual basis. Lots of complexity and nuance in this one too!

Everything He does is much better.

The “blizzard” we were supposed to have last night amounted to maybe a cup of snow, if I were to go out and attempt to gather up the random blobs.

I love global warming.

At least it’s partly representational and not completely full blown abstract modern art.

I'd take a realistic Rembrandt portrait, or Albert Bierstadt landscape, any day over most everything else out there.

These guys had serious LEGIT talent.

Smart or lucky choice of investments. Faulting a person for taking advantage of such an opportunity doesn’t make sense. She took the risk and reaped the profit; it could just as well have gone down in value.
