In many ways Moonbeam is like a Jim Jones to his rat cult voters.

The governor should just tell the truth.

There is no way to get enough men, materials and big machines onsite in time to make a difference.

They would do best to just pray the coming rain is much lighter than expected.

he cost of the evacuation, the costs to businesses and individuals, the cost of repairing the spillway dwarf the cost of maintaining the spillway, maintenance which wasn’t done. Why?

A stitch in time saves nine.

While it is a royal pain in the keister for those that evacuated, there are thousands of us that are still here. There are no stores open. No gas stations, banks nor mail delivery. For example if this lasts another couple ofd days, then the mail, which is currently being held in West Sacramento, will be delivered to a central point in Chico. My mail going to Chico while I am here. I can’t drive to Chico because all the roads coming back home are closed.

UPS deliveries. We have UPS coming tomorrow. Will they be allowed in the area? What about other delivery trucks. (More on that in a moment)

Had an appointment for radiator repair for our vehicle. We are set to hit the road to ply our trade and had set up this appointment. Now they are evacuated. Can’t drive the vehicle to another town north because its too far for the radiator and can’t get back into town.

The local Indian Casinos are open. Absolute madhouse we understand. They were the only place with food in the area and have run out. Only the deli is open now. The buffet and restaurants are closed. They aren’t getting their just in time deliveries of course. The hotel is getting swamped with calls. No rooms available. Heck some of the employees are renting hotel rooms for themselves and their extended families. I understand and would have done it if presented with the same situation.

No banks. Say for the Casino to cash a check I suppose.

No business dollars being generated in town, but that ripples out.

No medicines available. Walmart is closed and thus the pharmacy is closed. What about people that were waiting for Monday to pick up their prescriptions.

We have a lot of elderly and marginal people around town. They had no transportation to leave. Granted buses were provided and used and are still being used.

Heard a story on the local news. Elderly man was standing at his mailbox at the street watching all the traffic wizzing past him. He looked confused and didn’t know what to do. Heck, that would be my father in law.

No word on when the evacuation will be lifted. The way they were hinting it could well be a couple of weeks. The sheriff should be applauded. He was not getting clear information from the DWR dipwads who were sitting around yanking each other and staring at the rushing water. It took him to call for the evacuation. He had to do it. Granted, nothing has happened, but what if something did? he made the correct call.

All Moonbeam is doing is begging Trump for money.

Brown articulated that they were spending as much money as possible on illegals and getting that multibillion dollar hispeed rail boondoggle running by 2050.

Why isn't Meryl Streep directing the effort? She knows WAY more than the Army Corps of Engineers. Just ask her.

As a California democrat and a feminist, she would just stylishly slide her glasses up on the head and explain that Butte County Conservatives aren't worth saving...

Kali Kommies. Let 'em die.

Yeah, that’s been in the back of my mind...were they releasing water heavy as it approached max? Was it the broken spillway sluice that made them stop dumping and let the water reach max? Did tree-plugged turbine intakes additionally hinder flow?

Maybe the Sacramento Democrats are trying to flood you out of the state.

Wreck your house and your life, you won't have enough to rebuild, you'll pack up and get out.

I wonder if this is all part of the plan. Withhold maintenance from DWP assets in red counties, let nature take its course.

Moonbeam should see if the illegals will give him back some of the money he spent on them so he can afford to repair the dam.

No they released it too fast in the spillway. It went over the side of the spillway and started digging down under the spillway. Soon the spillway had no earth under it. And a large section of it collapsed. Its like a huge sink hole that formed from the water rushing over the side of the spillway. The reality is that they needed to let more water out earlier. But they were trying to keep the reservoir as full as possible and the got caught with too much water.

The cost of the evacuation, the costs to businesses and individuals, the cost of repairing the spillway dwarf the cost of maintaining the spillway, maintenance which wasn’t done. Why?

Because Global Warming had caused climate change which is why they had droughts and it was only supposed to get worse, according to Global Scientists. What happened is that the Global Warming had the reverse effect. Snows were late , and then stayed later until melting , due to the 'warming'. Then, hot air masses met cold air masses and it rained. Both cold and warm were to blame there, so they just called it even on that one.

Anyway, Global Warming and not enough rain led to massive flooding.

“My heart goes out to all those who have to live ... with the fear...

Liar, one highly suspects. Has he ever cared about citizens?

... our folks are doing the best that they can,” Brown added.

Liar, one suspects. The best they can would be to have a well-maintained and up-to-date and superbly safe dam, for many years.

And he said he doesn’t expect to visit the site of the dam.

Here he tells the truth, as photos of him against the backdrop of HIS FAILURE would be priceless.

Expect Mister (he should take "mister" as an insult) Brown to deflect blame, most likely to Republicans.

No sale. Brown has had years, and millions upon millions of dollars in "infrastructure" money, has he not?

While Brown and his Dem legislature spent time and money on illegal aliens, a multi-billion dollar choo choo that nobody will ever ride, scheming against the Second Amendment, and making business toxic to that once-golden-state, they could have been looking at real issues such as dam safety and maintenance.

If dam safety is not Jerry Brown's responsibility, whose is it?

Now that was a typical government convoluted explanation that led from SOMEWHERE to NOWHERE.
EXCELLENT!
