High-level advisers close to then-presidential nominee Donald Trump were in constant communication during the campaign with Russians known to US intelligence, multiple current and former intelligence, law enforcement and administration officials tell CNN.
President-elect Trump and then-President Barack Obama were both briefed on details of the extensive communications between suspected Russian operatives and people associated with the Trump campaign and the Trump business, according to US officials familiar with the matter.
Both the frequency of the communications during early summer and the proximity to Trump of those involved "raised a red flag" with US intelligence and law enforcement, according to these officials. The communications were intercepted during routine intelligence collection targeting Russian officials and other Russian nationals known to US intelligence.

One thing after another. Nice to read in the article that the other guy (not Flynn) denies completely that he knowingly talked to Russian operatives. At this point, I’d expect that he knows the conversations are all recorded and there is no point in lying, so I take some solace. Weird though, this constant drip of information about Russia and the election. Who cares? Hillary lost. Trump won. Russia was not even a 1% concern. Dems campaigned on it, and have not stopped campaigning on it. It’s so ironic, the Dems used to just absolutely love the Russians. What’s changed?

Somebody bring a dictionary over to CNN and have them look at the definition of “constant” contacts. I sincerely doubt it.
Ty for that detail. If someone watches CNN for about 20 minutes, they will never give validity to their anti Trump “news”. It is an outrageous alternate universe network 24/7.
Doesn’t matter. The rabid dogs are barking. This has several goals, to slow Trump down in a morass that will make his agenda impossible to complete, to make him poison for the next election, to remove him from office.
If they get him, it means our side will never be allowed to legitimately rule again.

This is really scary. Sounds like Obama and his JustUs department have been spying on Trump and now they’re leaking the stuff through the CIA. It is totally a coup attempt.

The elites are freaking out now. Trump is getting closer to the top of the Democrat Party. They will HAVE to coup him, or something else even worse, VERY SOON, to stay out of the prisons.

They aren’t the only ones who can plant stories and leak phone call information.
Wasn’t McCain calling the Australian amb a violation of the Logan act since that has come up recently? Do we have the phone call recorded too? Perhaps that can be leaked and an investigation can be opened into this. Maybe this should be reviewed by the ethics committee.
Where’s our auditor going over the financials of the recently closed DEM campaigns, you can ALWAYS find a scandal in financial documents.
We have to take off the gloves and get really dirty to win this battle, sad to say.
Chasing the leakers is vital, but don’t forget it reminds everyone we are responding to the Flynn deal now. The leaks came earlier, had we gone after it publicly earlier that would have been better. But the first 3 people that have a hint of anything need to be charged with 40 counts of everything from Treason to you name it. Make an example of a few govt employees to put the fear of God in the rest, that will make people talk to save their asses.
We need to introduce a new serious scandal on the democrats. Perhaps now would be a time to appoint a prosecutor to determine the details of Bengazi and how that might be related to the Russian involvement in our elections. Perhaps some revelations about how the US Government under the prior administration was illegally providing weapons to ISIS and Sen McCain was aiding in this process.
If Obama had anything on Trump he would have used it long before now. I see all this as good news... it tells me Trump's getting settled in and getting really close to some big targets.

I was at a place tonight where I was forced to listen to a bit of CNN and oh man, it’s the end of the world as we know it over there. Trump’s in terrible trouble, adminstration in total freefall, and Russians...
