I'm not clever enough to get around the NYC sign-up wall, but in response to the excerpt and also your post,

I've noticed that President Trump repeatedly attempts to indirectly (gently) impart Biblical principles to the lying media. Now there's a man who even respects his enemies, that he should think to do this.

Example, he reminds them that things would go so much better *for them*, if they would only engage in responsible reporting: telling the truth, being fair... and explaining to them that they are the ones causing their own failure.

He also tells them to watch their own shows, so they could observe their own hate and anger, to see how bad it is. He also describes what they would do to *him*, if he did the same outrageous, illegal things that their friends (Hillary et al) do.

The audience gets it even if the press refuses, but he is truly setting them up for Divine judgment by plainly pointing out their lying, corrosive, destructive ways, and by giving them space to repent.

It appears that they have no desire to repent. Not a wise thing, to treat this President as if he were a toy.

Actually, they don't know how right they are, but they are not the ones who need to "muzzle" themselves. The media form the nation's sense of public morality, the general background of all debate, of what is acceptable to say or think, and what is not acceptable to say or think. Since they are "progressive," it is those who disagree with them - conservatives - who are inclined, or feel the pressure to, muzzle themselves.

If you are a conservative business owner or public employee or corporate employee, their may be many occasions when you feel the need to muzzle yourself, to avoid saying what you really believe, for fear of losing your business, your job, or your promotion. In some places, the knowledge that you are a conservative might keep you from being hired in the first place, and that is probably no more true than in the nation's newsrooms.
