The Mainstream Media Have Forfeited All Respect
American Thinker ^ | February 21, 2017 | Steve McCann

The inevitable conflict between the mainstream media and Donald Trump has come to boil just four weeks into his presidency. The media are beside themselves that someone would castigate them at every opportunity and use hyperbole such as “enemy of the American people” and purveyors of “very fake news” to get under their skin, as their narcissism and sense of self-importance knows no bounds. They fail to understand why they are held in such disregard -- polling has revealed only 32% of Americans trust the media (down from 55% in 2000) and why so many cheer Trump’s visceral attacks.

Over the past half-century, the mainstream media in the United States have evolved into interloculars for and the Praetorian Guard of the Ruling Class. They constitute a segment of society which is overwhelmingly Liberal, wealthy, self-centered, isolated, and brimming with disdain for the rabble that lives in fly-over country. Thus, what passes for journalism by the mass media is essentially a defense of the ideology, lifestyle and supremacy of their fellow travelers in the Ruling Class.

Nothing more reflects this mindset than the coverage of the Obama years. While anger with the media has been gradually building for the past fifty years, the Obama presidency more than amply explains why the current overwhelming level of disgust and mistrust of the media exists. And why a Donald Trump was elected President.

A leftist objective determines every action these media scum take or refuse to take. Entertainers are now just as bad. They are indeed the enemy of the people.

At least the front page of a newspaper no longer looks like Tiger Beat with wet tales of fantasy about that dreamy Barrack Obama who’d won a Nobel Peace Prize just because he wasn’t Booosh.

Now the front page looks like the National Enquirer or Weekly World News.

FTA: Since 2008, the obama cabal has added over 19,000 pages to the Code of Federal Regulations.

Trump should just declare the 19,000 pages null and void.

We, real Americans, need to exercise our superior economic consumer financial strength. In the past, politicians, the media and other elites have picked the winners and losers based on misplaced political power. Now we can pick the winners and losers by deciding who we support and who we will oppose by our choice of the goods and services we will purchase. In making such decisions, we must also let our intended losers know of our decisions and the reasons for those decisions. We must also tell them the names of their competitors which we will be supporting. We must then tell those competitors that we are now economically supporting them and why in order for them to have incentive to encourage our values, or at least keep their mouths shut. The media survives on advertisers. We can make the media advertisers’ lives miserable and make the media advertisers’ competitors lives prosperous. WE MUST USE OUR ECONOMIC MIGHT TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY GREAT AGAIN!!!
